Anti-Hemorrhagic Syringe question
If I apply this on a Survivor who is currently on the ground, and if I have We'll Make It, will it heal them faster?

I had to go into another LIVE match to get a better video for this, the new video clears up the actual time which is 8 seconds yes, since 100% would cut the time in half.
My mistake was that I added 1 second to the video I had the day before, since it cut off 3-2 seconds before the video was actually recorded, I've since gotten a better video and edited the comment above to reflect this new found information (plus common sense would reveal that 100% is only half of 16 seconds, making it 8... so 6 isn't possible if the healing speed is 100%)
Anyways here's the video
SOME SIDE INFORMATION
Apparently, healing caps at 100% for anything. I didn't know during the time of this question, and assumed it went past 100% because of the plethora of perks and add-ons that involve increasing the healing speed.
So, as a result I thought that because of how many perks and add-ons there were, that the percentage could exceed 100%. But it doesn't, it's always capped at 100% for anything you use outside of We'll Make It.
What does that mean? It means this is the most reduced time the Syringe can half, so 8 seconds is how long the Syringe takes with a 100% healing boost.
Something i'll eventually add to the DBD Wiki since this information doesn't seem to be anywhere... if I make an account for the Wiki that is, which I don't know if I even will.

i have not tested this to confirm; but i am pretty sure its a no

Apparently this addition was added in, and I missed it somehow.
I'll figure out the times for when We'll make it is applied and get back to you on that... unless someone else does it before me.

The description of the syringe says it's modified by perks and other healing speed increasers.

An odd addition that I missed, i'll test it to see what the time is.

Edited to give the actual reduction time for the 100% healing boost on the syringe
After doing this in a LIVE match (Twice for another video that wasn't missing a part of the heal), I've come to the conclusion with the Syringes healing time after the 100% healing boost cap is applied.
Once the 100% Healing Speed increase is applied, the Syringes base 16 second time is reduced to 8 seconds. And since common sense was given to me at a later date, 100% of course would cut 16 seconds DOWN to 8 seconds, but it just needed to be confirmed or not.
So yes, the Syringe only takes 8 seconds with the capped 100% Healing Speed increase with We'll Make It and any other healing item boost. Healing speed can only be increased by 100%, so this is the most reduced time the Syringe can have.

I'd be curious to see it, because that doesn't make a lot of sense unless the downed survivor had started recovering already, or maybe if you had healed them a little bit with the medkit before using the syringe. Because it shouldn't take any less than 8 seconds.

Yes. Syringe is affected by any healing buffs/debuffs.
My friends and I tested it and we found the fastest it would work on yourself is 7.1s. You need: Emergency Medkit, Syringe, Abdominal Dressings, Spine Chill, Resilience, and Botany Knowledge. We'll Make It actually makes it SLOWER because it puts a hard cap on heal speed at +100% (or double normal healing). That means any other buffs will be ignored.
According to the math it should take 7.17s but when I tested it and measured the frames it came to 7.1s which is probably due to the way the game calculates this figure and rounds down, only using tenths of a second. Here is the formula:
16/(1+0.33+0.5+0.25+0.06+0.09)=7.17
Base heal charges needed/(base heal charges per second + BK + Em Medkit + Ab Dressing + Spine Chill + Resil)
However this is somewhat inefficient since it requires you to have a full loadout to get it to work. If you merely have an Em Medkit with Syringe and Ab Dressings the heal time is 9.1s, only 2s longer but you don't need any perks. This works on yourself or other survivors.
Also I'd like to point out I never tested it using it on another survivor, so there is a chance you can get it faster than 7.1s if you have a Ranger Medkit, but I don't think it would go faster than like 6.5s so you're not saving that much time with it.

Isn't the healing speed always capped at 100%?
So, even if you use all these figures, it's still going to stop at 100%... making the seconds only 8 or 7 or something. From the video above it seems to be 8, but it could be 7.

No healing only caps at +100% when using We'll Make It (it says this explicitly on the card, but if you have 2 survivors with heal buffs other than WMI healing you it can get above +100% speed). I tested it and the time was 7.1s exactly. I measure the frames from the moment the progress bar disappeared to the moment the survivor's icon changed. It matches with my math just 0.07s faster which is due to the game only measure time to the tenth of a second and ignoring any trailing digits (ie. not rounding up) and maybe also a small margin of error on my part (maybe 2 frames at most).

I had to do a lot of in-depth research on this after the question was brought up again.
So yes, your math seems to check out, I don't see why you'd gain a boost when healing another person with a Ranger Med-kit though, the Syringe only goes off of modifiers like perks and add-ons, the med-kits themselves don't add anything, or they shouldn't anyways...
0 -
The medkits definitely make a difference and Ranger medkit heals other survivors faster. Em medkit heals yourself faster.
So if you plan to use it on yourself use Em Medkit. If you plan to use it on someone else use Ranger Medkit.
0 -
That doesn't make sense though, it says perks and add-ons modify the time...
a Med-Kit is an item, why would that modify the time?
0 -
Because it increases the base charges per second. Em Medkit increases the speed you heal yourself by 50%, so that factors into the equation.

I'd have to test that solo to confirm if that's true or not.
It sounds true, but a lot of things have been revealed to be questionable atm.
0 -
It's true. I tested it myself with the loadout above. I was healed in 7.1s.
The type of medkit does make a difference. If you use a brown medkit with no other buffs the syringe will take 16s. If you use an Em Medkit with only syringe it will take 10.7s due to the boost from the medkit, but ONLY on yourself.

Well I was in mid-game when this was sent, or loading screen that is, so I'll go forward with testing it since i'm already here.

Ok so, everything checks out, you were right.
The only thing i'm confused on is why you think healing another person with a Ranger Med-Kit would decrease the time from 7.1 to 6.5 if the "Tremendous" Healing Speed boost is the same for the Emergency Med-Kit and Ranger Med-Kit when healing other Survivors.
Healing yourself gives a Tremendous boost, the heal yourself action works off of the base-kit healing speed of others. So, if you just replace healing yourself with the other part of healing others, the seconds for the Syringe to work is the same...

I was just speculating I didn't look at the numbers. If both say "tremendous" for healing others then no it won't make a difference because they would be the same number.
EDIT: Just check the Wiki, yes they are the same. So you should just use Em Medkit because it's cheaper. Save Rangers for the extra charges. That means the fastest it can go is 7.1s.

Just making sure, so yeah if you heal others or yourself with a EM than it's 7.1 yeah.
With just a Ranger, than it's only 7.1 on anothers and a higher number for yourself!
Interesting to know yeah, it goes lower if you add Leader but Leader requires 2 people to do so...
0 -
Actually yea Leader could make it faster. But you would need a second person yes.
0 -
Other factors like Dying Light can also add to it, and other Niche perks that have requirements.
All and all, it's an interesting niche benefit for one add-on, I guess...
0 -
Dying Light would only work on someone else.
So you'd need to be DL obsession with Em medkit, Ab Dressings, Syringe, Spine Chill, Botany, Resil. The guy you use it on needs to have Leader and the killer needs to be watching you, though IDK if Spine Chill would take effect if you do it to someone else.
0 -
Spine-Chill does work on someone else yes.
0 -
I just did the math. If everything works as expected the formula is...
16/(1+0.33+0.33+0.09+0.06+0.25+0.25+0.5) = 5.6s
So that is the theoretical fastest a syringe can heal you. But it requires 2 survivors with specific loadouts and the killer to look at you.

Basically, its essentially too much of a burden at that point.
I was also going to post my findings on DBD Wiki eventually, but I guess someone did it for me... lmao... anyways, at least this niche concept has some math behind it.

Botany isn't effecting it right now tho sadly.
0 -
It should unless this was changed recently, otherwise it should and does since the time for the Syringe can be reduced with healing boost perks like Botany Knowledge, Spine-Chill, etc.
Try it again and see if the time is reduced or not from just counting it on your own, if it's less than 16 seconds than it's working.
0 -
It's not, I went thru several the other day with botany equipped and each time it was 16

It seems to be bugged than, since I didn't find anything about it being changed in the current patch notes from [3.5.0] through [3.5.2]
