The whole point of the Rift is for it to be a tedious grind to goad people into buying the tiers. Don't fall for it!
-
Sounds have gotten progressively worse over the years. Often blamed on Unreal Engine stuff. I know PUBG (also on UE) has had issues with various sounds like footsteps over the years as well.
-
Most of the perks are junk ranging from outright useless to so situational they're effectively useless. However, pooping out 3 perks for each side every 3 months is easier than actually creating new gameplay mechanics in the core game, so it will never end.
-
Rancor's fun. Chasing 1 person the whole match and then mori'ing them often has amusing results in chat.
-
I wish they'd remove it. Can only imagine how much time my teammates waste trying to moonwalk like their favorite eceleb instead of playing normally.
-
Nah, I'm maining Doc until the next patch (then it's back to slugging). It's hilarious how cocky survivors are when you tunnel them, then they go down, preparing to hit that incredibly difficult skillcheck (lol) only to see it do nothing.
-
I think too many ecelebs derank to make montages by leaving matches for them to implement punishments. It's unfortunate, but they do provide free advertising for the game.
-
I've been doing fine as killer, but I also didn't use Ruin before the nerf anyways and I have no qualms about tunneling, slugging, proxying or using Moris/Strong Addons. Thankfully we have servers now so sore losers can't block you on MLGA xD

The art/graphic design team on DBD is actually really mediocre.
-
This is why you slug the 3rd and hunt for the 4th. Much funner for both sides compared to hatch standoffs.
-
Assuming some level of competence, and varying depending on the tiles, a head-on stun is never just 3 seconds wasted.
-
Not long ago they adjusted matchmaking because of SWF or something and now solo queue times are way longer. Add in how often people DC or suicide and it makes for a wonderfully fun experience :)
-
Since there's effectively no meaningful penalty for leaving matches there's no reason to stick around when you're not having fun.
-
Well if you "don't get the fuss" then perhaps go read what the people complaining have to say and respond to them directly instead of making yet another low-quality post/thread to pad your postcount.
-
I'd rather be tunneled and camped than work on gens. Consider yourself lucky, OP.
-
Killer only gets to see you if you look at them while they're looking in your direction. You can see them when they're back is turned and they have no idea.
-
Poor coding means it can take too long to get the prompt to pick someone up, and the genius idea of tying all environment interactions to one key means you may accidentally vault or break a pallet if they were trapped near one of those.
-
Nothing's wrong with gen speeds. If you can't keep all the survivors you're not chasing off a gen, can you really call yourself a good killer?
-
No idea about consoles, but the game's more popular than ever on PC: https://steamcharts.com/app/381210
-
I 3k+ nearly every game as Billy with BBQ/Enduring/SpiritFury/Bamboozle. Ruin's a n00b perk for n00bs, git gud and stop relying on crutches.
-
Fine by me. 4 out of my 7 matches as survivor have had a killer just farming the gen break or grab challenge and doing nothing else. Boring.
-
"Other games have toxicity problems, so who cares if DBD does as well." Amazing argument, broheim.
-
Notice how none of these people who can "counter" her haven't taken ScottJund up on his offer to play KYF vs him.
-
Should be considered that all XP from 12 days prior to the Rift going live was counted towards everyone's progress. So it may seem faster than it really would be in future Rifts. https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1189590374546726913
-
Other than a lack of empathy, IDK why anyone would have a problem with an opt-out chat filter like many games have. Just because you're an epic capital-G Gamer that doesn't have any emotional reaction to "just words bro xD" doesn't mean everyone is.
-
I'd rather be tunneled all match than do gens. IMO the only people who whine about it are weak jukers or SWF who don't want to spectate their friends.
-
It's been known since they implemented banning that the threshold for DC punishment is comically high. A certain Fog Whisperer DC'd so often that their rank rarely went up. They regularly had BHVR staff in their chat, and were never removed as a Fog Whisperer. BHVR tacitly supports this behavior.
-
The Rift (both free and paid paths) is absolutely feasible as it currently is. You just need to play a lot. Don't even need to do Tomes (although they reward Rift Fragments that help speed up Rift progress). Unless there's something I'm not understanding about how the Rift works.
-
Depends on the map and whether or not my teammates all DC or not. The hitboxes being quite generous can often make hatchets feel unfair when the frame they hit you on has your body out of its path, though. But that applies to huntress in general and is just exacerbated when the hatchets are an instadown.
-
Have you considered that being "sweaty" is part of the fun for these people you're complaining about? Why should they sacrifice their fun for yours if you don't even recognize their fun in the first place?
-
IMO they should drop them all by 1 rarity tier and rework the lense addons to be more noticeably useful. BT should proc on flashlight saves. Click-spamming should be removed, or accelerate battery depletion. I also think killers should retain some amount of head movement during animation locks to reduce the feeling of…
-
Much like playing vs Nurse, you just have to hope the Spirit misplays on most tiles, or has a subpar audio setup. Throw on addons and Stridor and it's GG if survivors aren't super optimal.
-
Much like how killers have to guess whether or not survivors have DS, BT, Unbreakable or Adrenaline and weigh the pros/cons of playing around them, survivors must determine whether or not playing around perks like NOED or DH are worth it or not. Personally I don't find NOED particularly common at red ranks (PC in NA), so I…

Prestiging is supposed to be a tedious grind for dedicated players to show off how much time they've put into the game. If you can't dedicate time to the game, then prestiging isn't for you.
-
You folks really need to not hoard all your BPS for bloodhunts. Just use them as you get them/need BP. Saving them up just makes you more upset when they're "wasted."
-
People defend DS with "just don't tunnel", but the absolute best plays I've made with DS have been when the killer certainly wasn't tunneling me. Killer's have to guess if you have DS if you're not the obsession, and 60s is a long time to ignore someone in many circumstances.
-
WGLF is way worse than BBQ because: a) it provides no function other than a BP bonus. b) it's harder to stack than BBQ. c) it becomes an empty perk slot once fully stacked, unlike BBQ which keeps rewarding you even on the 3rd hook of a survivor. WGLF should at least be merged with Kindred, or stack higher than 4.
-
You take this game too seriously.
-
It's only for 4 days. Go play something else if it upsets you so much, or beg the devs to actually reduce the grind so people don't want to farm so much.
-
BBQ should drop auras if you start to use your power, and should only show auras for the first time you hook each survivor. Billy's movement should be slowed more while revving, and the penalty for cancelling/missing should be slightly higher. Don't @ me
-
>they wouldn't need to tunnel, camp, slug, etc. Much like genrushing, none of these things exist.
-
Seems to be the same on NA in purpe ranks. Killer queues take a long time, and survivor ranks are all over the place.
-
It's almost certainly some generic spooky Asian girl trope, so don't worry.
-
Marth has a regular job, so I doubt he'll play a game he doesn't enjoy just for viewers.
