Ok, well in my experience, having the other team tell me they hope I die of cancer in over half of my games is not normal. Trash talk? Sure, very common. The absolute vitriolic hate of this community? No, not common. And it shouldn't be normalized or rationalized or explained away as 'normal for pvp' -- it isn't.

Am I new to pvp games? No, I'm 33 years old, I've been playing video games for about 20 years, most of which is pvp. I have never seen a community as horrible as this one in those two decades. being a 'pvp' game is no excuse for the frequency and severity of the statements made.
