I mean, have licenses historically always come out better? Like, original characters give much more liberty with just about everything. BHVR's not beholden to the fantasy of an IP, can make large scale changes at any point, can write tome stories for them, etc..
-
Anyway 1 is Pinhead/Cenobite 2 is Dracula I think? 3 can only be Clown

When you type something, you can select those funky icons immediately left of what you're typing, which opens a small menu. When you select the third option, you can choose spoilers. (Spoiler)

Thank you for the kind words!

In this particular scenario, I'm afraid it's not a bannable offense, as the game can and will end within a given timeframe. That, of course, does not mean it isn't a scummy thing to do. As for solutions, I've already mentioned this in other threads, but survivors losing collission when they have AFK crows seems like it…

Got all of them right! Although with 6 I got a specific one wrong, but still the amount right so I'll take it
-
Come now, you know damn well these three don't have the ultimate say in what BHVR does.
-
This confused me from the get-go. Like, this whole thing would not have been an issue if Nostromo’s realm was called anything other than Dvarka Deepwood.
-
Patience, above all else. If you go at it expecting to find something straight away, you’ll only find the ones willing to show themselves. Keep the time of day in mind, too. There’s a reason the saying about the worm is what it is, though don’t count out late evenings either. You’ll essentially want to go when there’s as…

Neat. Thanks for sharing!

I'm not sure why they even have rarities to begin with. Like, sure, it makes sense to distinguish event rewards from rift rewards and such, but other than that? It's not like we're paying for them.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was somewhat obsessed with birds, and some believe they served as inspiration (or even as composers) for some of Mozart's pieces. He kept a pet starling for about 3 years. The story goes that in the pet shop, the bird was singing a part of a composition of his that he had finished just a month…

Hm. Good catch. Wonder what's up there.
-
I was genuinely touched by the amount of people that replied to my ‘post pigeon retires’ topic, saying they appreciate what I did. Y’all were the reason I became more active on here, and eventually what got me to start birdposting. I’m really not all that into arguing game balance, but it’ll never get old to see a bait…
-
That’s not what the killswitch is for.
-
Me. They will nerf me by progressively removing the birds from the game.
-
I’m not sure what they could even do without completely reworking it. Like, extending the exposed effect would at some point make it a net negative perk. And the only other option is removing the main functionality of the perk. It’d be like way back when, when NOED didn’t have its exposed effect until you got it to tier 3.
-
Idk if ‘overrated’ is the right term. People who like him, like him and people who don’t, don’t. Not sure why it should be anything more than that. Every killer has their problems/weaknesses.
-
They’re bound to what the license holder permits them.
-
I mean, “zero counterplay” is also true the other way round without the Endurance effect. If the killer is well-positioned and the hook wasn’t right next to the gate, that survivor is dead.
-
Now I won’t say that the MMR system isn’t deeply flawed, but I never encountered a lobby like this. There are occassionally players in my matches who are clearly out of their depth, but a full lobby of them? I’m more inclined to go with JPLongstreet’s theory, assuming OP is in fact not brand new to the killer role as well.
-
I have it slightly when I’m playing a killer that’s not in my usual rotation. And Slinger, who is in my rotation. Other than that, not really. Not anymore, anyway.
-
This seems highly unusual. I believe there’s an MMR threshold for new players, preventing new installs from being matched with older players. Once you’ve gone past it, you shouldn’t be able to get back in. Either that broke, or your ghostface is somehow below that threshold.
-
I've seen Jonah, Saga and Carlos pretty often in 2v8. Rose was about as rare as Haddie. After that Tubarão. Been months since I've seen a Jonathan, though.
-
I mean, Face the Darkness becomes much stronger, because the cleanse time is so long. Kinda funny how we’re suddenly back in a hex meta, though.
-
It doesn’t change the max amount of hooks, no. In theory it could cause for a single survivor to not die until their 6th hook, though. But that requires quite a lot of coordination.
-
Using words like "everyone" or "nobody" is projecting, or at the very least generalising. It's not true either way, as proven by others in this very thread. I'm just saying that, despite everything working against her, she will still have her mains. Not many, but some. Calling them "chumps" seems silly, when it's…
-
You don’t find them worth playing. That’s valid. Projecting that onto the entire playerbase and calling everyone who disagrees with you “chumps” isn’t. Not everyone has your standards.
-
We've had Marge Simpson for quite a while now
-
The problem is that HM is janky and inconsistent. Not that she has a low pickrate, which is a result of the problem. And, again, HM was never going to have a high pickrate to begin with.
-
I mean, you’re not hearing me argue she’s fine. Far from it. My point is admittedly largely pedantic, but OP saying that she won’t have any mains is likely not true. Like I said, even current SM has her mains.
-
Eh, I doubt it means much beyond what we don’t already know. Remember, we’ve got 38 killers as of now. Even if it was all evenly split, you’d still see every killer just 2 or 3 times in a hundred matches. The vast majority of the playerbase will have settled on who they “main”, and won’t be all that interested in trying…
-
I mean, a low pickrate isn’t inherently a bad thing. It’s fine—unavoidable, even. It’d be silly to design a killer for the majority every single time. Every killer will have its dedicated mains, even current SM. Other than that, I think it’s pretty unanimously agreed that HM needs some more love from the devs.
-
Yeah, I noticed it too. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem to be present in matches. While I don’t usually get motion sickness, motion blur seems to do it for me, for some reason.
-
I must preface that 'semantic shift' is a rather broad term, encompassing multiple possible kinds of 'shifts' or movements, if you will. DbD as a whole has many terms that have shifted in one way or another, though most happened quite quickly as perks were added, metas shifted, etc.. Take the Memento Mori offerings. The…
-
I’d give it a shot, if I knew what ‘it’ you’re referring to there.
-
In trying to figure out what actually differentiated a bird and a fowl, I discovered I was actually sort of wrong here. More precisely, I misremembered speculation as fact. Either way, a correction is in order. My example of a term being generalised still applies, tho. Basically, in Old English (up to 15th century), a…

I appreciate the kind words!

Before it became common, my policy was to farm, or at least go easy on the others. But when it became more common, I got tired of farming. Like, at some point, I just want to play the game too. I still feel bad about it, tho.
-
-SEE CORRECTION IN LATER POST- Ok, so, this is largely related to the common blackbird, or eurasian blackbird. Turdus Merula, if you want the scientific name. Take this male: You’ll look at this bird and think: That’s a black bird, alright. It has a strikingly not-black beak and a similarly coloured ring around the eyes,…
-
On a linguistic level, it’s fascinating how “literally” has become something of a homonym, in that it seems to have become interchangeable with “actually”. This kind of Semantic Shift seems especially common in English. It’s to be expected, given the innumerable amount of external influences, especially now that English…

Got only 2 wrong this time 💪 Q.4 was before my time, and Q.8 I simply never knew.
-
I believe that was the reason they gave when they removed the BP bonus from BBQ. It was my assumption that the same reasoning extended to the rest of the bonuses.
-
Again, too early to say. We’re 3 hours in - these things require some time to settle.
-
Not the AI yassifying both Portia and Snug Though I think it’s too early to answer your question. For now, I think she’s fairly middling.
-
I think it was kinda inevitable, tbh. I’m honestly more surprised that it didn’t happen sooner.
-
Guessing they wanted to be rid of the BP bonuses, firstly, and then buffed 'em slightly as they were getting updated anyway.
-
wait i completely misread the thing. it says 7.5 gb lol
