As far as I understood it, DLC characters will not be transferred, so even if you bought them in-game, you have to buy them again after transferring your account on another service. Not entirely sure though, as the imagine they posted that shows what can be transferred is incredibly ambiguous…

oh well that sucks I thought it wouldn’t count as a dlc if I buy the characters in-game with auric cells. Do u think Nintendo can change its mind soon to allow the DLCs to transfer as well ?

Yea but the thing is that Barbecue & Chilli does require ordinary gameplay. You'll get 4 tokens most of the time without changing a little bit of gameplay.
