  • I'm very excited about the new chapter. I don't really like the new survivor character design, but I love the design of the Houndmaster; she looks awesome! I played her on the PTB, and despite the obvious bugs, she was so much fun to play. Her laugh and voice lines are great as well.
  • I believe they need to remove this mode and come up with something else. While I know that a lot of people enjoy this mode, it's negatively impacting the main game. Players will eventually tire of the long queue times and may end up quitting the game altogether. Bringing this mode back for just two weeks isn't beneficial;…
  • I initially thought she was hated primarily due to her power and the way SM players played the game. While I still believe that's true to some extent, I've realized that most of the dislike stems from the state she was released in. She was able to hold three gens for an incredible amount of time, which caused a lot of…
  • I attempted to play as the killer in a 1v4 match, but the queue times were still long. I often forget that I queued up for a game, and by the time I remember, the match is already halfway over. I will take another break until this frustrating game mode is gone!
  • From what I gathered from his post, he often experiences slugging in the main game (who doesn't?). Now, he has to deal with it in the limited 2v8 mode that's meant to be enjoyable. Can you blame him for feeling frustrated? Who enjoys being slugged, especially when it often occurs unnecessarily? I can tell you that I've…
  • For anyone not having fun: Stop playing 2v8 like I did. I played two games and then quit DBD until the event ends. It is what it is…
  • I disliked it! Yesterday, I played two 2v8 games, and they were simply not enjoyable. I ended up with many brand new teammates, and there was excessive slugging from the killers. Dealing with killer combinations such as Billy/Blight can be very unfun. Additionally, I forgot to equip a challenge, which is typical for me,…
  • It’s frustrating when someone wants to leave the match early, whether I’m playing as the killer or the survivor. However, it is what it is—I’ll just let them go. They’re not going to play the game normally anyway, and I refuse to stoop to their level and be toxic in return.
  • I couldn't wait for 2v8 to end; I didn't even finish the tome or collect the rewards because I disliked the mode so much. If it became a permanent feature and significantly affected the 1v4 queue times, I would seriously consider quitting the game and never playing it again.
  • Slugging has worsened, and developers must address it. I believe they will eventually take action, and killer players can only blame themselves. Slugging can sometimes be a necessary tactic, and I understand why killers use it when it’s the best strategy. However, I've noticed an increasing number of games where killers…
  • A lot of people used Distortion before the nerf because they didn't want to be found or chased. Chases are becoming less enjoyable due to map nerfs and the increasing number of anti-loop killers in the game. I'd rather sit on a gen than engage in a chase that I know won't last long if the RNG of the map is terrible.
  • It’s probably because maps have become smaller and weaker, and so many anti-loop killers are in the game. No wonder people don’t want to be chased unless they are exceptional at looping.
  • It needs adjustments as it is too strong on certain killers and does too much. Yeah, I play both sides, so I'm considering both perspectives. It's used a lot for a reason.
  • I agree it needs a slight change. In my opinion, it shouldn't provide as much for free, and isn't that what killer mains are always shouting about here? I'm not saying to eliminate the perk, but it should be earned rather than given away for free. Using tokens would be an effective approach (imho).
  • SM was nerfed so heavily because survivors disliked her so much that they wouldn't even play against her. This isn't the case for the other killers on the list, so she really shouldn't be compared to them. I anticipate there will be some nerfs, but I don't think it'll be anything crazy.
  • I don't think that's true. They can still learn from past mistakes without bringing back the original Freddy. I was around back then as well, and I did not have fun playing as or against him at that time. He was unique for sure, but not fun in my opinion. I'm glad they didn't bring him back. Who knows, maybe you'll enjoy…
  • More like 1/10. I've seen these types of posts way too many times. Nothing original here. LOL
  • I'm just going to say it: killer players are the biggest reason these events always suck. It's always non-stop camping, slugging, and tunneling game after game, with Nurse and Blight using the sweatiest perks and add-ons imaginable. I'm not saying this doesn't happen to killers as well (I play both sides), but it's…
  • It is what it is. I'll play the event for the challenges so I can get the event items, and that's it. It sucks because I was looking forward to the Halloween event. After all, spooky season is my favorite time of the year.
  • Yeah, but that doesn't change anything. Both sides should be fun to play and as balanced as possible, not go from one extreme to another, as someone already pointed out.
  • Some people are determined to quit playing against her no matter what. Still, it certainly doesn't help that most of the Dead by Daylight players I go against while using Skull Merchant is extremely toxic, even before the character was nerfed. I'm convinced that most people who play as SM are doing so to provoke a reaction…
  • Making the penalties harsher or removing self-unhooks from the game won't solve the issue of people giving up. Instead, the developers should focus on understanding why so many players are leaving games and develop a solution that makes people want to stay. While some players may give up for no reason, most of those who…
  • "But it is, without question, the single most pathetic and cringeworthy iteration of in-game BM there is, and anyone who does it like this should take a long look at themselves." I couldn't agree more. If I see someone doing this, I lose all respect for that person. It's disgusting behavior, and they need to do something…
  • He is a bit too strong, and I expect some slight nerfs or changes at some point.
  • I often disagree with many of your opinions, but I agree with this post; it's not enjoyable for anyone. I've received the rewards, and I'm finished with the mode now. It's disappointing, and I don't understand why it was reintroduced. It's simply not enjoyable, regardless of the number of changes made to it.
  • Regardless of the developers' actions, some people will be dissatisfied with the changes to SM. Her inclusion in the game was a mistake, even from the perspective of someone who frequently plays as her. Balancing her abilities is a delicate task for the developers. Players will continue to leave games if they don't…
  • Yep, Survivor is quite challenging at the moment, especially for solo players. It's reaching the point where I'm hesitant even to start the game because one of 4 issues occurs in most of my games. 1. The killer decides to tunnel/proxy camp someone at 5 gens. 2. The killer is unnecessarily slugging people and won't hook…
  • Yep, players are upset with the survivor experience, and it's becoming apparent. I hope that the developers are aware of SoloQ's shortcomings and are working to enhance the gameplay further.
  • I'm pleased with the changes too. I stopped playing as Leon after reaching P100 because I kept getting targeted. I've even faced streamers who admitted to targeting me because of my prestige level.
  • I play on a powerful PC and never experienced any lag before this update. Now it's freezing at times. It has to be because of the update, as no other game I play has this problem.
  • I didn't enjoy playing 2v8 as the killer, and it was extremely boring as a survivor. I didn't even unlock all of the rewards, which was disappointing considering how much I liked the badge. I couldn't force myself to play it anymore.
  • I still enjoy playing this game as a survivor, but the killers are currently a bit too strong. I'm not exactly sure what needs to be done to improve the survivor experience, but it must be looked into.
  • Very disappointed that 2v8 has been extended. Oh well, I'll just keep playing other games until it ends.
  • FNAF has been one of the most requested licenses for years, so there is a lot of hype surrounding it. Some people on this forum may not be happy about the collaboration, but the truth is they are a very small part of the community. FNAF will be a great addition to the game and attract many new players.
  • That doesn't make sense…
  • That is exciting news, even if it's still far away. I'm glad they are finally adding FNAF stuff in the game.
  • This is a much-needed change. It should have happened back when the generator times were adjusted. This is definitely a positive change and shouldn't significantly impact those who do not camp.
  • I haven't played a lot because I hated this mode, but yeah, that was pretty much my experience with my limited time in 2v8. I think this game mode had the potential to be great, but it's just so boring and tiring for survivors. Also, when killers play in extremely unfun ways, it makes everything even worse. @NekoGamerX
  • I don't understand why some people have issues with others sharing their thoughts on this game mode. I'm sure the developers want to read feedback and suggestions on how to improve 2v8, as long as it's done in a respectful way, of course.
  • Same here… I HATE 2V8 on the survivor side. I didn’t even finish the challenges. I don’t know how it is on the killer side because I’m not going to wait that long to find a game. So far this game mode sucks and I won’t care if it never returns after this.
  • I know what tunneling is and I’ve definitely seen it happen in this mode. It’s obviously not as common in this new mode as it is in the regular one but it does happen.
  • Tunneling does happen in this mode as well. I’ve seen it happen multiple times to my teammates. It’s not exactly the best strategy but it does still happen from time to time.
  • Finesse is the perk I'm most interested in. It was enjoyable on the PTB when combined with other perks.
  • I will P100 her for sure.
  • Tomb Raider has horror elements, and Lara is a survivor. She fits well, in my opinion.
  • These perks definitely need to be looked at. It hurts solo q even more and doesn’t do a lot against SWF. How am I supposed to know where my teammates items are? It works on maps with multiple floors as well. A rework may be necessary unless you just gut the perk.
  • Absolutely not! DC penalties are fine right now. This is why most people off themselves on hook instead of disconnecting.
  • I feel bad for the guy because I’ve been there before. Thankfully I moved and have super fast internet now. It sucks wanting to play a game that you love but can’t because of issues like OP has. It’s definitely best to play offline games tho when your internet is that bad.
  • It’s really bad right now. The devs need to take a look at why so many survivor players are upset and work on fixing it.
  • I stopped bringing BP offerings years ago. You get killers that tunnel and camp or teammates that give up or die at 4-5 gens left. It’s not worth it… just a waste of an offering.
