Because the lore world of DbD doesn’t adhere to the rules of the game. Narratively guns may be involved in the survivor trials. Imagine if the series was made into a movie…it would be a LOT more gen popping and pallet dropping.

Ultra Rare skins are just cosmetic. Little changes that the entity has allowed the killer to embrace or represent. Legendaries are seen as whole new killers with a little lore in their cosmetic descriptions. I do wish, like you, that there was more emphasis on new characters BUT it is fun still to have them. Where does the idea come from that Michael isn’t controlled by the entity or can leave at will? I’m wondering if I missed lore somewhere??

Love those ideas. I like to imagine that the entity tries to keep the killers as occupied as possible. For instance, I like to imagine that the entity keeps Idiris’ people “safe” in a temple for her, or has manifested Anna a little girl to protect, etc.

The campers recover around the campfire. I think the entity also leaves them gifts, little things (like favorite candies or photos) to remind them of home and give them hope for getting out. I think each killer also their own kind of campfire/lair where the entity keeps them occupied as well.

Perhaps all of these times? Maybe he eventually regresses back to his human form and has to inject himself over and over.

I mean between, costumes, collectibles, Funkos, action figures, books, comics, etc... I’m not sure why DbD doesn’t merchandise it’s original content??
