Fun Fact, if you want an answer from Mandy in person you just need to write a message that's somewhat inappropriate. Your questions won't be answered, but at least you know they read it and choose to ignore it when they delete your post.

Since my last post was deleted I'll say it again with more careful wording so that it will not be deleted. By this point it is would be foolish of us users to assume that the replies we get are based on a lack of understanding on the support/dev teams side of bhvr, therefore the only reasonable assumption is that they just…

@MandyTalk The problem isn't us not accepting that you guys aren't ready to release on Linux, the problem is noone telling us why you aren't ready to release on Linux. We'd be happy to wait months or maybe even another year for a Linux release if we just knew why we had to wait this long. Please understand that it feels a…

I have come to realize that we might misunderstand the problem. It may be possible that there are significant issues with DbD in Proton that aren't connected to EAC at all and the devs are just "blocking" (not a bad thing necessarily just some lacking transparency) them behind the lacking EAC support until they can fix…

I believe that's due to the closed beta version that's been distributed on SteamOS which had Proton support however the new version doesn't. I met someone who ran it on Linux desktop (I believe it was Arch but not sure) during the closed beta

@MBAdept No reason to be sorry, it's been a long thread 😅

@MBAdept Well yes obviously. As I've stated in this thread before, DBD runs in STADIA which runs on linux but isn't requiring EAC. But there aren't really any traps they can or have a feasible reason to put anywhere. You can't expect it to necessarily run ootb when it's first released for proton but a mild amount of…

The statement that they will be supporting Steam Deck and not Linux is most likely a statement to precisely what support means. What they likely mean is not just that they will make the game playable in Proton (Which if it runs on SteamOS it will almost certainly run on all other Linux distros since Proton is a…

@Rokolell . It really is though. Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy about what the team is doing right now (meaning getting rid of cheaters, patching bugs and exploits, etc) and I'm fine with waiting for Linux support a bit longer, but saying it isn't an easy thing to implement, especially at the point to which they…
