I would love that. 2v8, for me, is reminiscent of the older days of DBD…back when I first started playing. But in 2v8 I dont have to worry about killers with a million powers, overbloat of perks, lack of pallets, etc… Its put the fun back in DBD for me. And yea, based on what I saw…2v8 is definitely the more popular game…
-
Im surprised that people even want to play 1v4, to be honest.
-
2v8 is the only reason I play DbD anymore. I hope it sticks around and becomes a permanent game mode.
-
Killers nowadays also have a million powers. Look at Vecna and Dracula. Survivors need those perks in order to compete with that.
-
Thats how the game works, yea. If survivors arent being efficient thats how the killer gets a free 4k.
-
Saame. On the verge of quitting entirely until 2v8 comes back. Killers are overperforming and BHVRs response is to buff killers and nerf survivors even more. Its strange.
-
Base kit kindred would be crazy, though. Someone is always caged. Perhaps take away the Scouts ability to see the killer when they break pallets and add kindred or something. But to give it to everyone would be mad.
-
I agree with point 1, but I only had 2 happen in like 2 games out of the 50 or so that I played.
-
Scout was pretty meta in my games. Thats what I played after the first few days and unless it was wraith, I just stayed behind them granting my entire team nearly 100% aura reading the entire game. Gens fly when people have information. In fact, most games I had towards the end you rarely saw guides. Id actually be curious…
-
I see a lot of people saying this, but what are the issues exactly? Nobody is really explaining anything beyond Medic needing a buff.
-
With the introduction of 2v8 people, survivors especially, realized the issues with the base game. Issues like killer skill no longer mattering in most base games with the bloat of tons of unhealthy perks into the game, insane new killer abilities, and just how problematic tunneling/proxy camping really is. And on the…

Ive actually set my expectations much, much lower than that.. and I still cant wait for 2v8 to come back.
-
I second this. I played a 1v4 game today thinking maybe it wont be that bad. Huntress with Lethal Pursuer and proceeded to just slug. Im out till 2v8.
-
I dont enjoy DBD personally. Not anymore. 2v8 rekindled the spark, but its gone for now. This game needs a huge overhaul in terms of balance before I would touch the main game again.
-
The game shouldnt be designed to leave the items you earn in a corner of the map every game because killers need constant aura reading. lol Thats bad game design.
-
Killers have Frankenweave but heaven forbid we have one perk that lets us see pallets.
-
The verbal abuse that I witnessed from other players in TCM is why I would never, ever want DBD to have it. Its clear that unless the people in your match are your friends, they cant handle themselves. No thanks. Just pre-fab messages we can send out would be better.
-
Killers have their struggles, but the primary one nobody wants to address is skill. Skilled killers always have, and always will be, successful. BHVR making nerfs to survivor because of a lack of skill from killers was the issue. At first it was adding perks like Lethal Pursuer and Pain Res to give killers huge objective…
-
Im right there with you. I loved 2v8 so much that I have 0 interest in returning to the base game. It was just that much fun for me. I dont even know why its not going to be a permanent mode. What are they worried about? Profits? People are always gonna buy the new killer if theyre good or interesting, they just need to…
-
Huntress is fine. Its just the maps that need tweaking. Most maps have tons of insanely low loops that huntress just shoots over. Thompson house has too many high loops, but is the safest map to go against her. Just needs some balancing.
-
Thank you BHVR!! I love 2v8. I
-
Ya I wont be playing the main game anymore once 2v8 leaves. Its way too much fun. 2v8 or nothing.
-
Are the killers a good team? If yes: Killer-sided. If not, are the survivors doing gens? If yes: Survivor-sided. This game mode is based on efficient teamwork and skill. Whoever does that better is who is gonna come out on top.
-
This is why the Scout class is necessary. Lol. A good scout will keep eyes on the Trapper and let you know where hes been so you know where to loop. The trapper doesnt have time to go and set up all of his traps right at the start of the match. He has time to set a few and then move on to downing survivors and placing them…
-
I have to disagree. Im very open about my feelings towards the main game mode where killers are indeed overpowered and in need of some heavy adjustments which you can see in my previous posts. However, in this mode, killers are balanced. A good killer team will know when to work together and when to split apart and a win…
-
Well I would argue its still an issue with Lethal Pursuer because its possible that the Billy wouldnt have found him. Or me, technically, as I was there too. Its just too much information at a time when information shouldnt be given out without some type of penalty.
-
I would argue that distortion is bad for survivors unless everyone is using it for 2 reasons: 1) It puts too much pressure on the other three survivors 2) Too many aura perks/add ons in play that eat through stacks faster than you can get them back Its just not really providing much benefit and we can see that in…
-
Umm...OK, well, this is a discussion about Lethal Pursuer. If you want to join the rest of us, you're more than welcome. What this isnt is a discussion about gen slow down. If you wanna discuss that, go ahead in another thread. Also this will be my last response to you because all you seem to want to do now is channel the…

This is so wrong. Im sorry, but youre wrong. I was playing literally a couple of hours ago. We spawned in on clowns map. I literally took three-four steps (I run sprint burst, so I wasnt running) and the killer (Billy) downed the survivor that I spawned right next to. We were in the match for no more than just a few…
-
This right here is why I keep saying over and over again that distortion is a bad perk.
-
No, I said that I ignore the perks because theyre not relevent to me. Im OK with gen slowdown. I never said ignore perks in general. Im not OK with killers being given a handout at the start of the match and being given a huge advantage over survivors while killers are already overperforming. If youre going to be…
-
Frenzy for distance would be the issue.
-
No, I ignore the perks because gen slowdown via perks doesnt matter to me. But gens do take longer now at base rate. But my issue isnt with that. Im just saying that LP shouldnt be fine in its current state when everything else has been nerfed to make it easier for killers to win. How many handouts do killers need?
-
Sorry, I forgot to quote, but the response above is for you.
-
Technically yes, I did say that. But Ive since retracted and said that I meant the base gen speed. I didnt mean to include perks in that statement.
-
You literally called out people for complaining about perks, yet you did it yourself. And everything you said about WoO can be applied to Lethal Pursuer. And now suddenly you care about skill rather than perks? Theres an easy fix for that…play perkless.
-
Do you see me arguing against gen slowdown? All Ive said in regards to that is an observation that gen rates are the slowest they ever have been (And I meant at base, not with perks). I dont care about gen slow down. Its been in the game since Ive started and Ive learned to adapt. Aura reading is fine in other…
-
Its moreso that my other perk slots are dedicated to perks that I have no choice but to run because despite killers overperforming, they still like to tunnel. Distortion isnt going to help much with that.
-
Ive never really liked the, "Just because its not fun for you doesnt mean…" kinda arguments. Well, it just so happens that seeing my teammates getting downed a few seconds into the match isnt fun for me. Everyones fun is subjective. I dont get your point here and why that first part is even relevant to the discussion. I…
-
Im not getting into another distortion discussion. Its already been discussed in both my original post and further down the line in comments. So please refer to those as to why Distortion is a bad idea.
-
Yes, you did. But you didnt really do much beyond that. I literally never see it in my matches though. Its pointless to discuss my anecdotal experience now because youve brought the actual statistics into the argument. My original argument wasnt about statistics though. Its just about the nature of the game. Killers…
-
I can guarantee that for myself, but not the rest of my solo Q teammates. Its just not a fair perk, man. Killers (rightfully so) didnt like survivors getting huge chunks off their first generator done with BNPs and so that was nerfed. Why should killers get part of their objective done at the start of the match? I think we…
-
Wesker, Spirit, Vecna, Twins, Billy, Huntress, Legion, Artist (w/ crows, kinda)…
-
Im not bad at looping, however, Im no Ayrun either. That being said though, I dont disagree with you that killer interaction is what makes the game fun. Even though I was my former competitive teams gen jockey and I have no issues sitting on gens and completing the objective, its still fun to loop when I get the…
-
Perhaps at lower MMRs. I dunno. I just never see it. But I think #10 is way different than #4, right? Also I like how you failed to mention that even though distortion is #10, the escape rate while using it has declined steadily in the past year. So while it may be #10, its clearly not providing any advantage. Lets not use…
-
I like how you say, "these people" yet you just made a post back in March suggesting changes to the perk WoO. If you arent the pope, dont preach.
-
Its not a random perk. Its literally #4 in usage rates. Lol
-
Im referring to the actual gen speeds. Not additional perks. I should have specified. The base time it takes to complete a generator is longer than it ever has been, excluding slowdown perks. But this post isnt about that. I can work through gen slow down, but giving killers 100% aura reading right at the start of the…
-
I dunno, man. Id love to get rid of Off the Record and Decisive Strike in favour of other perks, but despite being the most powerful killers have ever been, theyre still resorting to tunneling which forces me to use those two perks. The meta changes constantly. You either adapt or dont.
