So as an update: I am thinking that the power should work like the void or Halloween event, where you deposit something into a portal to gain the skill points. This can also be a way, like the events, to offer counter play for the possibility to take away skill points

Update: It would be interesting to have a mechanic to have survivors block the grates the Cyphid would use to help them, like dread’s lockers or demogorgon’s portals.
