Update: I remembered that I used to have vsync disabled back in the days, and thus I've decided to do the same now. I copied the launch options from another game that I play via Steam on Linux (which is «PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_VSYNC=1 gamemoderun %command%»). And now the Killer sensitivity is perfectly fine. I'm not…

Oh, the Killer sensitivity does change depending on the setting. Thank you for reaching out!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you! Thank you kindly for making this a reality! Thank you for allowing us to share the joy and fun of this game with our friends! Thank you for all the time and effort that you put into solving this problem! Dear Dead by Daylight team, you are all wonderful, talented and amazing people!…

Well, you can unlock the cosmetic first and then the Vittorio later 😹 That being said, I'm not entirely certain if buying anything from the store is a good idea since, you know, some things aren't functioning on Linux. Thus, it would be probably wise to wait. P.S.: Shirtless Vittorio is nothing compared to the shirtless…

For some reason I cannot even play a proper match against the bots: the game disconnects me from the server ~30 seconds after the map loads.

When you guys say that you can play it via the Epic Games do you mean that you play on a different account than the Steam one? The progression, characters and all that stuff isn't shared between Epic Games and Steam, right?

I am not sure how much truth there is to the "rumours" but apparently the reason for said hesitation is the fact that they haven't been updating EAC for quite some time, which is why it takes a while to "catch up" since updates are implemented gradually. In other words, you need the latest EAC version to support Linux. But…

I'm fairly certain that Chapter 45: Fortnite is merely a joke.

My comment editing is still acting weird...

Thank you kindly for replying and providing some insights on the situation. And, more importantly, thank you for your patience. I realize that it might seem like we aren't exactly forbearing, but I hope you understand that sometimes the feeling of "so close, yet so far" gets to us, especially when more and more titles are…

I see what you mean and I must admit, it did cross my mind that they are treading in perilous waters... Yet, at the same time a part of me hopes that someone will find a way to play DbD on Linux and then, you know, Happy End and fireworks for Linux gamers etc. But yeah, one should exercise caution when dealing with such…

Also, for some reason I can't figure out how to edit my comments properly so I apologize if you suddenly see like 3 messages from me...

sigh Really hoping that the DbD team will launch a Linux support with a release of the "Project W" chapter...

Currently on Linux Mint (Cinnamon). But I've been hopping between Linux Mint and OpenSUSE Tumbleweed and I enjoyed both to the point where I couldn't pick one to stay. Eventually, decided to stick with Mint... just because. But Tumbleweed still holds a place in my heart.
-
Well, that seems promising. Not going to lie, I hope that the DbD Team just wants to make a surprise for Linux gamers by enabling the proper support with the release of the new chapter. Because the new killer looks quite exciting to play as/against. Not to mention the Twisted Masquerade.

Yeah, would be great! Otherwise, it's going to be the first anniversary that I'm going to miss. But as long as the game comes to Linux, I'm willing to wait <3

I know I'm late to the party, but I wanted to chime in to say that I wholeheartedly support everyone here! I can't wait to be able to play Dead by Daylight with my friends with Linux on my main machine. <3<3<3

Thank you very much for your answer! Though I must admit that it makes me sad...
