Correct. It really wasn't until Symphony of the Night that the maps got that way. Castlevania 1, Dracula's Curse, Super Castlevania 4, Castlevania the Adventure, Belmont's Revenge, Bloodlines, Rondo of Blood and Dracula X all had linear platforming stages. Simon's Quest attempted some RPG elements with an open map but for…

If anyone was struggling with "Earn 3 Unbroken emblems of Iridescent quality" from tome 16, this is the mode to get it. I just got 2 in the last half hour.
-
I agree it's fun, but I see the novelty of it wearing off quickly. For anyone who doesn't know, tome challenges can still be achieved in this mode. So if you have any pending challenges to "kill X survivors by any means" or "kill the obsession X times" or "escape through the hatch" this is a good mode for those.
-
I agree. At least you can't go back a level, but it would suck if you were only one pip away from the next grade. For anyone who cares, play the regular game mode until you advance a grade before trying the giant Oni mode.
-
Oh it does. Must not be working properly for some. I know my game had to update, so maybe it requires a restart if it's not working correctly. It's hilarious playing both as and against giant Oni. I think the novelty will be short lived, but it was a nice surprise today.

Still 2 million

I wholeheartedly disagree. I enjoy and look forward to playing both roles. Sure there are some frustrating moments and there is much room for improvement but broken and unplayable are pretty far off the mark.
-
They are indeed the level 2 completion rewards. You can see level 2 by selecting either head on the reward screen then clicking 'Go to the event tome"
-
"Hit 10 survivor(s) within 30 seconds of them being revealed by an aura reading ability." For anyone who hasn't completed this one yet, you can get two hits off the same survivor if you can catch them fast enough. I would suggest Nowhere to Hide, Furtive Chase, and Lightborn. These give aura reading with survivors close by…

I like to collect at least one event offering for every character too, and I've also noticed that they seem far rarer this evening than yesterday.
-
I've tried this workaround and it seems to do the trick. I forget to do it most of the time, though, so I hope the issue gets fixed for good soon.

Zarina and Carmina

There are color blindness settings that can change some of the colors. That's the only way I know of in-game.
-
I'm guessing it has something to do with the Iron Maiden cosmetics that are coming. I think when you equip one an Iron Maiden song plays. Streamers and content creators would possibly get a copyright strike if they couldn't disable it.
-
I like Vanity Mirror with Dead Rabbit to reduce my Evil Within II terror radius. Add Monitor and Abuse to further decrease the TR when not in chase and you can still effectively sneak up on survivors without the reduced movement speed and lunge distance.
-
It is really getting annoying. Loadout and cosmetics reset every time the game is opened.
-
I cannot in any way imagine how no sound could possibly make the game easier for either role. Care to explain? Most other games I play with the sound turned down or off but for DbD I always wear good quality over the ear headphones so I can hear everything.
-
You can, but it depends. Let's say you have 1,800,000 BP. You can still earn 200,000 from games. If you enter a code for 100,000, you will have 1,900,000 total but can still earn up to 200,000 from playing games because the 100,000 from the code wouldn't count toward the cap.

This is also happening to me on PS5
-
Noticed this today as well. Also on PS5. I can't offer much help other than file a bug report.
-
FYI - for the tome challenge you will get credit toward the challenge even if another player is running the perk and blinds the killer. An overzealous Leon got it for me earlier today within 60 seconds of the match starting. I hadn't even encountered the killer yet. This may be a bug, but it should be helpful to some…
-
Isn't Plague a sort of mummy character already? Some skins even have bandages iirc.
-
I like it. Could also be a boon instead of having the time limit. Survivors within 24m of the boon have their auras duplicated. This would go well with a stage magician character.
-
There is only one event item this time, so it wouldn't be much of a mystery.
-
I don't find the snowballs toxic, even when I'm on the hook and the killer is pelting me with them. But to answer your question about what else can you do with them, breaking snowmen with them gets you 500-750 BP depending on if it's a decoy or not. That's what I've been using them for.
-
I think the one you are referring to is the login reward from Dec. 22nd. Logging in between the 22nd and the 4th gets you that one.
-
I don't think skill checks are meant to be difficult. I think it's intended for most players to make good skill checks 99% of the time. I think the real purpose is to draw your attention away from the rest of the game for a second or two. I'm constantly moving the camera and watching for the killer while repairing, but a…

Sorry to be off topic but I agree with this. I mentioned it twice in the satisfaction survey. Even if they must be sold as full sets I want the option to mix and match wherever possible. And as far as licenses go, I have to imagine that only the most stubborn of license holders wouldn't concede to the mixing of cosmetics,…

The first event match I played tonight was against a Chucky. He downed someone and I ran up to him and threw a snowball right in his face and ran away. I was laughing hysterically when he started chasing me.
-
If matchmaking and match loading was faster I'd say 8-10 minutes. Ideally for me it wouldn't be more than 15 total minutes from the start of one match to the start of the next, including matchmaking and loading times.
-
A banner or badge to show characters we brought to P3 before the prestige rework.
-
carrying an item of ultra rare quality
-
I play on PS5 and don't really notice a loading time issue. Logging in might take up to a minute, as does loading into a trial. Other than that things are more or less instant for me. Matchmaking can take some time, and the lobby too, especially if other players back out or don't press 'ready' but neither can really be…

I can't say for certain but I believe the upgrade to the ps5 version is free if you own the digital ps4 version. Maybe someone who is sure can verify.
-
I don't know about achievements but it counts as an escape for tome challenges. Just today I was doing an early challenge where you have to escape with 0 totems left. The killer dc'd as soon as the last gen popped (luckily all the totems were cleansed) and the challenge registered as complete.
-
It can't be synced with steam but if you have it on PSN don't you already have it on ps4?
-
There was a time when you needed 800 xp for each rift fragment rather than the current 500. I found it a lot harder to complete the rift in those days. Could that be what you are thinking of?
-
I don't know that it has to be a haunt that you personally released. Obviously it does if you're killer, but if you're playing survivor and the killer runs into a haunt freed by another survivor it might count. Seems weird to have a challenge that you can complete without actually doing anything but it would explain your…

My first game I was playing as Hillbilly. His gen kick animation is two kicks but you have to hold the button for a half second or so after the second kick to start the regression. I didn't know how gen kicking or gen regression actually worked so I would stand there kicking the same generator over and over and over for…

I think every time a new or reworked map is released they disable the map repeat prevention for a time.
-
Not sure what platform you are talking about, but the two Playstation platforms count hours separately but use the same account. Someone could have a few thousand hours on PS4 then switch to PS5 and have essentially 0 hours with all the perks and prestige from their PS4 time.
-
Doesn't Hillbilly already have a pickaxe?
-
I think you can put the mirror down, can't you? I seem to remember putting it down to use a medkit then picking it back up. I don't swear by it though.
-
I'm not so sure about J, but I think the killer might be his son. Next killer: J's son /s
-
I got at least one of the Coldwind tractors to count. I vaulted off the side where you fall directly off instead of the side with the hay bales and it counted.
-
If I recall there were a lot of people having difficulty with this one because they weren't letting the pointing animation fully complete before moving. It looks like the survivor is done pointing but if you move even a fraction of a second too early it does not register the point action. Try holding still a little longer…

I said earlier I was afraid to try this one but it isn't bad at all. I got it on my first try (map was Midwich, which helped a lot) and I didn't have to do anything special. The two things that will make or break this one are map and killer. A small map and a non-stealth killer should make this pretty easy.
-
This is the only one I have left. I'm afraid to try it. To be fair though, I think the Dwight challenge OP refers to wasn't just in the terror radius but some insanely small distance from the killer (like 10 meters or something)
-
It could also be that hex perk that makes you randomly scream when not in the killer's terror radius. Today I played against a Sadako who was running that. It was super annoying.
