I've tried out the steam version just now and it's working like the EGS version. No issues so far. Followed the steps from this comment.

Heroic, yes.

New update is still working. No problems so far.
-
I managed to merge my accounts before they shut the tool down, progress has been in sync and haven't had any problems so far.
-
It happened without the FPS unlock. It's basically rolling a dice, sometimes the client will say "ye sure no EAC problems", sometimes it will. I restart until it works. And I have my progress from steam on EGS because I synced it previously :)

Can confirm that the EGS version works with EAC. Can play on both my Steam Deck and Desktop, although it is a hit or miss and sometimes it will error on the inintial loading screen, sometimes it won't and just work perfectly fine.

You no longer need to use the EOS EAC Version to enable proton support. The non EOS version is supported now as well! This means that now it‘s actually only a click away and does not require the change of game binaries etc.

I got a response about the support request I sent, unfortunately nothing new.

Since BHVR is answering some Questions from the Community, asking about EAC support might help as well! There is already a post up for this, it would be great if all of you could vote this up: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/283963/linux-steam-desk-support

There is already another forum post asking for this: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/282110/eac-on-steam-deck-proton-linux#latest But obviously still a +1 from me here, I would love to play dbd on my Steam deck in the future / on my Linux desktop right now!
-
I have also submitted a support ticket asking if they could enable eac support for proton since it is required for the steam deck and Linux in general. Let’s all hope for the best, I’d switch in an instant if this goes through!
-
+1 from me as well

This bug seems to have been fixed by the latest Bugfix patch (5.2.2) and the thread can be closed. Thank you BHVR!

Can confirm this. (Series X)

The only reason on why I like the new movement is because if you crouch, you are much smaller and your head doesn’t peak through windows etc. Or if somebody is on the ground, the surv needs to completely bow down to them to heal. I only like some small visual improvements, which is why I can accept the new movement. But…
