As survivor I almost never dodge unless I see a big streamer, even though I'm in anonymous mode. As killer, I dodge constantly. Or "lobby shop" as someone else put it. But now with bots that are vaguely good, I just play against bots. Then I don't have to worry about the "survivor rulebook" I'm supposed to follow.
-
You're arguing a strawman. There are other ways to interact with survivors than by chasing. You don't get to tell someone else what is and isn't fun. If my fun means you're bored... ok? And? I'm not here to make the game fun for you. That's the part you don't seem to understand. Again, it's not my job for you to have fun.…
-
Its not the killers job to make the game fun for you. If you aren't having fun, stop playing. Also, you can't define fun for someone else. I don't find pinball boy very fun.
-
Well if you can't fight back against the killer....what is it you can do exactly? Run. Guess what you can't do. Fight. Sounds pretty helpless to me. As for second chance perks, I can name a few, but no, dead hard isn't the "only" one. Most exhaustion perks are and so is decisive strike.
-
You know what second chance perks, you're not ignorant to the game. Oh and I wasn't aware that the only way I can have fun in the game is looping. Are you fing serious right now? I don't need your approval to determine what I do and don't enjoy. And yes, I do enjoy 3gens as killer specifically for the reasons I mentioned.…
-
As if survivors don't have ways of messing with the killers. The amount of second chance perks alone proves your entire statement incorrect. And if survivors could mess with killers like that, then the game wouldn't be dead by daylight, it'd be closer to VHS, where the teens can fight back. Survivors are helpless *by…

3genning for me is fun because it's a challenge. It's a battle of attrition, which i like because it keeps me on my toes. I have to constantly check all 3 gens, which means I'm actually doing something other than chasing survivors, which isn't the "fun" part of killer for me (survivor is far more fun in a chase than…
-
Talk to BHVR, not me. They're the ones that said 3genning is a valid strategy and they also were the ones that changed the perk. I don't make the news I just report it.
-
Oh shhhh my bad! Sorry bout that
-
4 gens can be done in 3 minutes. That's not at all viable.
-
This is the truth, really.
-
Camping and tunneling is whatever to me because they can be countered if the survivors are efficient. Before 3-genning, all survs did was complain about camping and tunneling. It might be "whatever" to you, but it's not to the rest of the forums. So then your only answer is: I want them to shift to a chase focused game…
-
What I think is, the killer has the same right to fun as the survivor. Yes, sometimes it IS fun to have to run back and forth between gens. 3gens have always been fun to me. If I want to sweat, I 3gen. If I don't want to sweat, I don't. I 3gen instead of facecamping or tunneling. What's even funnier to me is, every time a…
-
But you haven't given a convincing argument as to why they should get rid of it other than "I don't like being 3-genned. It makes games 45 minutes". But what if I, as killer, love those kinds of games because I'm constantly engaged trying to keep you little snots off the gens? You say 10 minutes is reasonable. I disagree…
-
The devs have said 3-genning is a valid strategy. Killers have every right to try and kill you, since, you know, that's their job and all. And 3-genning is one (very good) way to do that. What people don't seem to get is, the killer isn't there to make your game last less than 45 minutes. He has no responsibility to make…
-
I think you mean "Hex: Face the Darkness"
-
Oh! If that's the answer, then that works. It was just so weird that I didn't fall until right after the other surv crouched behind me. Hopefully it's just timing and not a new hack! Thank ya!
-
I have been. I didn't log in at all for like, 2 days. I've been playing VHS more. The idea of being able to kill the killer is much more appealing to me.
-
That's still not a reason LOL They make it artificially long for literally no reason. What terrible logic.
-
It's not free if I spent time and bloodpoints to get there. LOL Time is a resource. So are bloodpoints. Therefore, no, nothing was free LOL In addition to that, as I pointed out before, if you're saying that all your characters got prestiged after the patch, that means you already had the majority of perks unlocked on…
-
No I don't - you still invested time into the game. Therefore you didn't get anything for free. That's that. You spent time going through bloodwebs to level up those characters. That's time spent. Therefore, once again, it cost you time. Your arguments are still poor. "I DID THESE THINGS WHICH IS WHAT THEY USE TO QUANTIFY…
-
"When I say "free", I mean I already paid my time to play the character," So it wasn't free. It cost you time. Also, I have no idea what line of work you're in, but that bottle of wine isn't free. It's a tax write-off that comes out of your and my pocket. The more I read of your post, the more I realize how dumb this…
-
You didn't get those perks "free". You still have/had to level up the characters. Nothing in this life is free, especially perks in dead by daylight.
-
For suvivor, I've had to switch to prove thyself, but the conditions on that are annoying. I haven't found a BP replacement yet for BBQ. It's depressing. They say they reduced the grind but then take away the very tools to make the grind easier. I haven't played much lately and it's not because I don't like all the other…
-
Does this mean you're finally quitting, Sluz?
-
Killer was getting boring before the patch. This is trying to shake up the game, but it's still boring. There's only so many times you can loop killers/survivors before it gets old. YMMV sure, but everyones going to get bored of it at some point.
-
I'm gay. I came out at 13 but ended up still having sex with a woman when I was 18 (to "try it out"). I'm still gay, even if I was able to get "excited". Bodily functions are not something that can be consciously controlled and if someone is touching a dude in certain ways, he's going to get happy, regardless of what his…
-
I'm just quoting this for truth. Seriously, there will never be a time when it'll be ok for a character to be LGBT in a video game without people throwing hissy fits about it. I hate humans sometimes.
-
Because there's no reason for it.
-
" I'd hazard to guess that 25 is probably more than most people play in a month" ....wat? 25 games is like, a week for most people. LOL #########.
-
Because there's no reason for it. Simple as.
-
LOL I love Jonah. I main him cuz he's hot.
-
Your anti-lgbt screed in the previous post tells us all we need to know. David being gay is flippin awesome. No one cares, bro.
-
You forgot to add in the 20K that it costs to prestige.
-
You're never a clown if you're open to, and adjust your opinion when presented new information. ♥️
-
Have they said no? I hadn't heard that if it's true.
-
The game isn't over until you get out of that gate, Sluz. You haven't won just because you powered up 5 gens. Until then, your survivor's life is forfeit! They're coming to get you, Sluzzzzyyyyyyy
-
I wonder if the devs consider NOED/bloodwarden plays as valid as they do tunneling and camping. The game isn't over until you leave. Powering up 5 gens isn't the end of the game. You still have to power and get out of the gates. That's the end of the game. Anything that stops you from getting out is fair game, regardless…
-
Still no. Specifically - "That's been your entire sense of reasoning. I'm sure you haven't fully grasped the situation that the perk is in right now. DS could be bent for that "rule" because of its nerfs and limitations." You say right here "could be bent", which means even you know there's not really any reason to do so…
-
I've already explained myself. Second chance perks are second chance. Not second and third chance. I'm quite straightforward in this. Nothing you've said means that DS should be changed. The reason why the changes to killer are happening is because they needed to be buffed. There's nothing at all that says survivors need…
-
No it doesn't. Simple as.
-
That's not a good enough reason for it to be able to be used twice. Second chance perks aren't for third chances, even if the problem isn't you.
-
I like the first suggestion a lot, actually. Not a fan of the second at all. Second chance perks shouldn't give third chances.
-
Surv: Jonah David Jeff Reason: they're hot - listed in order of hotness Killer: Vommie Mommie - It's really fun to just puke on someone until they're about to fall over dead and then smacking them. It's just fun. bird lady - I don't like-like her, but I'll occasionally hit her up to play sniper through walls. That one's…
-
Do you see a reason against it?
-
This is the best answer below but also because it's not just on hook - you could see it throughout the game, so if I've forgotten that I downed Nea earlier (10 minutes into the match after I downed her in the first minute, forgetting who I've hooked so far) then I know not to get her again if she's on death hook. I…
-
I am so glad I'm not the only one who thinks this! I legit thought I was the only one. It's easy IF they're not all the same X with the same skin on LOL Otherwise, I try to watch the UI to see which one is injured and go after the other, but my milage varies on that LOL
-
Ah! Got it. That's too bad as I was hoping you could just, you know, buy the base versions of the perk you needed.
-
From their update: Shrine of Secrets Unlike before, where The Shrine of Secrets would offer teachable perks that then needed to be found in Bloodwebs, the Shrine will now allow you to purchase perks directly. Purchasing a perk through the Shrine of Secrets will make the Tier 1 version of it immediately available on all…
