I fixed mine by completely reinstalling Linux again. It is wild that this is necessary to play the game.

Yeah, no, I give up. This is beyond a joke. A whole month of being locked out of a game I paid for. Don't update your anticheat client at the last minute before a big DLC release. EAC is glorified malware. It does not work and hurts your player base. But hey, I guess I can't cheat if I cannot even launch the fooking game…

Gonna try this now. I have even tried disabling Hardware Virtualisation in the BIOS which did not work.

EAC is utter garbage.

I also cannot load VR Chat either. Exact same issue with being stuck on initializing forever.

Yeah, same here. After a three year hiatus, I just wanted to play with my buddies who recently got the game. I guess won't be doing that because BHVR doesn't know testing exists.

Still unable to play after the recent patch, I have tried quite literally everything, including manual EAC installation via protontricks. Again, if this is a common cross-platform issue, why not downgrade the EAC client or fix it? People literally cannot even launch the game. How was this not found by QC, especially before…

According to the 8.2.0 patch notes, the EAC was updated on PC only. This is a major issue and I do not know how it would get past QC. BHVR, please fix this promptly or just downgrade the EAC client to the last working version, so that we can actually play the game.

I am a bit more tech savvy and I am running this game on Linux through Steam. I have tried multiple versions of Proton including Proton Experimental and TKG Proton 9.15. Each time the EAC client gets stuck on initializing. I have also tried manually installing the EAC client through protontricks with the following command:…
