Have tested it now, it's not showing "auras" it's showing the location notifications from anything that "reveals locations". So survivors are seeing the pop ups from perks like rancor, infectious fright, dragon's grip, iron maiden and hoarder.

Yep! i was the friend mentioned here (please excuse the user name!) the screenshots are from my pov, but we were both seeing this. I've definitely had this, both times I've noticed it I was playing on Gideon and even after moving the offending item to the corner of the map the HUD said that weave attunement was active wherever I went. It drove me nuts trying to find items that didn't exist
