I think it is 100% fair when used to dodge a lunge or a projectile. The problem is that it's mostly used for distance to get to a pallet or a window. It works as a "reset" button when the survivor falls for a killer's mindgame or gets too greedy.

The UI is too spread out and gives much unnecessary information like explaining the objective or the hook counter showing you hook states instead of actual hooks. It also doesn't fit the game aesthetics. Old UI showed you all the info you needed in one corner. The power icon getting a whole corner to itself is just a waste…
