i don't blame survivors for disconnecting. unless they do it mid or late match n screw everyone over during a hard fought match. if you're gonna d/c, do it early.
-
to me the fix for dbd is simple: revert the game back to pre 6.1 update this will solve 90% of the games current problems we'll be back to survivors complaining about nurse and blight, and killers complaining about dead hard. the good ol' days.
-
i mostly play solo queue and before 6.1 it was easy. all you had to do was spend some time on a gen, take the killer on at least one good chase, and make a hook save or two. maybe you don't pip without the escape, or maybe you do. but unless you were tunneled out of the game early you're not going to depip. now it just…

The screwed up thing is that camping used to be an INEFFECTIVE strategy. it was toxic because if you spent too much time at a hook you lost the game. Now, unless you're playing against a SWF with full gen-based build you don't have to leave the hook. You just get your first down, you stay near the hook, that survivor…

they'll never fix camping. its been over 6 years since the game launched and they haven't done anything about it. why 6 years later would they try? likely they'll add some perks you can buy that will only make camping slightly less effective (while simultaneously releasing killers and perks that actually make camping…

it's okay there's likely enough knights hook camping that they'll get at least a few kills. at least how most of my games have been.
-
pentimento is amazing against teams you likely would have won against anyway. that's the problem with it. not good against good teams, great against bad teams.
-
honestly, i don't even want to spend bloodpoints anymore because of how long it takes. like i kind of value my time.
-
this is 100% my view. look at the facts: Solo queue is far worse now than it was before. It was already the weakest way to play the game and it got worse. The strongest killers in the game like nurse and blight got far stronger. Annoying killers like legion and plague got far more annoying. Build diversity for survivor was…

strong killers are even stronger. tunneling and camping are even stronger. many annoying thana builds and bugged regression builds. solo queue survivor is far worse now than it was before. (its always been the weakest in the game) honestly, i'm not sure how the game got better unless you just like to play killer and stomp…

in the former state of the game i would agree. the current state of the game however is trash and should be treated as trash.
-
the scary thing about nurse is that while all these mind games do exist the real threat comes from her perks. when survivors don't know you can see them and they can't see you then they really have no defenses. it doesn't matter how good they are. when hex:retribution/haunted ground go off at the same time they're going…

so i only play killer/survivor until i hit rank 1 on both of them each month. when i play as killer an effective strategy to double pip is to always secure the maximum number of hooks and get 4 kills. to do this it helps to slug (especially the last 2 survivors) to avoid any hatch escapes. not sure why you'd need to slug…
-
honestly, i'm not sure how you can play nurse/blight on console (controller?). that just seems incredibly difficult. that being said those are the only 2 killers that lower my blood pressure when i play them. i hate the normal chase design and they (especially nurse) help escape it.
-
when i play killer i play competitively when i play survivor i play casually
-
when i play killer i often wonder, "when does the fun start?" sure, it can be fun to have someone run into a trap or to get a nice hit with a hatchet but what about the other 99% of the time when you're just stuck running the same loop you've run a million times that you know will just end in a dropped pallet and then onto…
-
honestly, SWF would likely be more fun to both play and play against if it played by a different set of rules than solo queue. for example, what if perks were made unique so only one instance of each perk could be used by the group. or make this optional for SWF groups but they get a BP boost if they use this option.…

i've been running onryo with bbq + make your choice + nurses calling and corrupt intervention. took me to rank 1 with all games being double pip or close to it. she has so much map presence that with the right addons (bloody fingernails) you can guarantee the first hit on projection and if you can't down them soon just…
-
the thing about huntress is that she's 100% mind-gameable unless you're playing on an open map. she walks slow. falls victim to respecting pallets. thinks she can get free hits but doesn't anticipate a crouch or the survivor stutter stopping at the last moment. of course, you throw in DH and it might be too much but i…
-
sometimes you just need to play more. you might be doing something wrong or inefficient or not anticipating mind games/reacting the right way. i'm one of those survivors with many thousands of hours and don't believe i need dead hard to play well. this really isn't the issue. there are over 100 survivor perks in the game…

my experience is this: every 20 games i get 10 games with bad teammates/strong killer, and then i get 10 games with good teammates/weak killer. i don't know if this is due to mmr or some aspect of matchmaking but it seems to be a fairly consistent pattern. so even if you get a bad team or go against some all-star…

i wouldn't worry about using NOED. i mean, i have 4000 hours into this game. i expect NOED. sometimes it kills me, sometimes it doesn't. i don't really consider a game lost if NOED is the reason i die. the only thing i don't like are all-star nurse/blights and scourge hook: pain resonance. literally every other aspect of…
