Like I said I was forced to take a teachable to progress in bloodweb because there was nothing else to take

Its bc it takes so much more grinding if you want to avoid teachables. But also I had this time where the teachable was the only thing left (no other add-ons, offerings, etc. we're available) so I literally couldn't progress in the bloodweb without taking it, it was so dumb :(

All you really have to do is cleanse totems tho. It's a high risk thing, just like using totems. You can take the chance that they have it or not. And anyway once it's revealed, it's a lot easier to find. The risk for killers is giving up a whole perk slot that might not even be useful. And it's not like survivors are the…
