As far as I'm aware, that isn't how Undying or Haunted Grounds currently works - otherwise that would explain it for me too. Plus if it was intended to work that way, then I'd assume it would proc haunted twice on other killers too. However in testing it only ever did on Nemesis and I can't recall it ever doing something…
