Honestly I think the game would benefit from being more hide and seek. It is supposed to be suspenseful for survivors. I can get limited time, but like those games are pretty rare (I've only had 1) and they are really short. So not that much time lost.

I'd say that's weird, but honestly definity not the most toxic. Not by a long shot. Worst case is you all survive and get gens really fast and then can play another game.
