Ah ok, I didn't know that, I haven't dced myself. I read that there wasn't a dc penalty due to the bugs and I've just had so many more games with dcs that it feels absurd.

Much of this has to do with the current no dc penalty. On the survivor side you are likely to have someone dc if they get downed or hooked early, which means your game is extremely hard if not impossible to win. It just isn't a good time to play survivor.
