As much as I'd love The Thing, it's never going to happen. Devs have already confirmed they're never going to add a killer who could pretend to be a survivor, and that's The Thing's whole gimmick.

Personally, I'd keep the aura on the gen but change the way the perk works slightly. Instead of Trail giving Undetectable for a certain duration, you could make it so the killer becomes Undetectable until the gen that it activated on stops regressing. This would make it so the survivors know that the killer is now…
