While creating a path, Knight no longer properly enter that state(no changes in view, same as his default, Knight's footsteps can be heard by killer, (but I don't know if survivors can hear it):
You need to stun Knight in timing when he press the button to start creating a path, it will disable his ability to summon guards(can only swap them), and Knight will be in shown state. It lasts untill the end of the match and no actions can revert it:
