Green key
Since the green key is useless, why not rework keys altogether? Make it so that each key can open the hatch, but they take varying amounts of time. For example, pink key is instant, purple one takes 5 seconds, and the green key could take 10 seconds. Also instead of the “Broken key” call it the Rusted key.
