This would be a game-changing ability. If the killer can make himself look like the survivor. This killer could be Pennywise, Dracula or the Thing.
It would make it much scarier if the graphics improve year by year!
This would really create a sense of dread to the survivors. They wouldn't know if the killer is real or not.
