Gameplay wise it's better. MMR made it worse than it has ever been in a long time. I'd say the MMR patch was equivalent to that one that made flashlight and pallet saves not require timing.1 -

By that logic Trapper is going to get nerfed as well, considering he's kind of tough to face on solo without being able to call out trap locations.1
