I thought it was to do with consistency rather than confusion. Seems a bit arbitrary that BT triggering depends on whether Freddy's put you to sleep or if the Pig is crouching down.3 -
They didn't address the Blight hatch bug in the patch notes
Last patch notes they claimed they fixed this when they didn't, was kind of expecting an update on it.1 -

When the Blight is rushing, he collides with the hatch as if it's a wall, even if's still invisible. This lets him know exactly where it's going to spawn.4 -

Happened to me as well recently. Can't remember the map or killer but it was after the most recent update.1
