His downside is his long cooldown when broken out of stealth. Every other stealth killer can use their stealth repeatedly as much as they want (barring wraith flashlight)2 -

I had this happen once and it isn't only the nurse either. I whispered one of the survivors I matched with (was a SWF group) and they said they had it happen as freddy.3 -
