I do have to agree with the OP that the gameplay is a lot different at the higher ranks. Most of the lower rank survivors despite how easy it is for them wont understand how it is for high ranks. Esp…2 -

She is not supposed to see the blood right now, that is a bug. So no it does not when in spirit form. It does work outside of it though. Its hard to test it with the addon due to the bug. To be hones…3
