Is it possible to have discussions on this forum ?
Every thread seems to get nuked by killer mains who bring nothing to a discussion and only tries to go off-topic.
Is there even mods on this forum ?

Man the sky looks nice today. (Kidding) anyway yeah we try to keep on topic but sometimes something is brought up and completely derails the conversation (this is normally done by both sides though).

Theoretically. The mods do exist and are relatively active, but they're also very busy so they can't always get to every post straight away. The best thing to do if people are derailing the thread is to either ignore them or try to steer them back on topic, depending on the conversation and how they're behaving.
You can also report their comment if they are derailing threads consistently or deliberately, or being rude to other members. This usually alerts the mods to a potential problem much more effectively than tagging them.
However, you should read up on the Forum Rules (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/87004/forum-rules#latest) and make sure that a comment is in violation of them before reporting it. Abuse or unnecessary overuse of the report system makes more work for the mods, and can lead to a warning or further disciplinary action if done in excess.
You will find people on here willing to have a productive and reasonable discussion, but you'll also find a lot like the ones you described. Try to ignore them, report them if they're getting out of hand, and just continue the discussion as normal with those commenters who are serious about having an actual conversation.

This is hypocrisy at it's finest. You've got another post called "One shots and movement Skill Killers shouldn't exist" where you made a response calling all people who disagree with you "killer mains that are trying to defend the broken combo of one shotting and high movement speed". That's not how discussions work. And your main post of the thread did not give any reasons or arguments at all for why you would think killers like that are broken, where as other people explained why they don't think these killers are broken at all.
I admit some of the responses are extreme and not very friendly, but that doesn't make your post any better for a discussion.

I think your thread is a little counter productive, you ask for a normal conversation but opening in "Killer mains bring nothing and go off topic", the classic mentality that you have a side and the other one is the awful and rude one.
I like playing Killer, you start trying to subject me and others who enjoy the role to your bias and of course, I'm not gonna be anywhere near nice with you.

It is entirely possible to have a discussion, however, calling people an X main because they disagree with you doesn’t help.

I didnt open with killer mains as you say, liar. That came way after all you (YOU INCLUDED, you participated in that thread) tried to derail it and brought nothing to the discussion.
So here we have a killer main stalking my other thread and lying about the previous one, nice one man.

Quickest way to start an argument on the forum and devolve away from any discussion is by instantly labelling someone as either a "survivor main" or a "killer main" - you can pretty much guarantee that it's the fastest way to end a discussion and just make everyone more argumentative.
