DLCs on PSN are double that of their prices on PC. Why?
Sorry if the image is low-quality, but this has really pissed me off.
Dead By Daylight is free for PSPlus holders on PSN, and I naturally went and checked the DLCs when I discovered the connection issues affecting me.
And I see this.
Curtain Call is not shown here because it's at the top of the page, surrounded by Auric Cell microtransations, but Curtain Call is also $12.
To buy all of these DLCs, you need to spend upwards of $50 on console.
That is more expensive than the game itself on Steam, by a factor of 2.5, in which the game on Steam only costs $20.
PSN gets the special edition that gives them the Doctor and Hag chapters for free, but why are you making every other DLC cost so much more than they do on Steam?
And then I go to the Steam page and see this.
Now let's calculate this out. For simplicity we'll round to the nearest full number - we are not using cents.
If you buy just the Chapter DLCs - points one through seven in this screenshot - you only spend $46, just for chapters.
Take away Of Flesh and Mud and Spark of Madness, two sets of $7, as they come with the special edition on PS4 for free, and the price for all the chapter DLCs on PC that are purchaseable on PSN comes to $32.
How much does it cost to buy them all on PSN?

On PSN, we pay $56 for less content than we do on PC alone, even if we don't exclude DLCs from the PC catalogue.
Personally, I have purchased all of the PC DLCs and I was dumbfounded to see the ridiculous prices of the DLCs on console - you, BHVR, have literally doubled the prices of any given chapter DLC on PC, for console.
What's your reasoning here? Capitalising on the free weekend? Or has it always been like this?

Editing to add something; I’m in Australia but it still doesn’t make sense that these are so expensive for me. As established in the thread my prices are nearly double that of the prices in the NA store, and still just double that of a steam prices.

It's not free to play. People pay ps+ subscription.

If you are on US thats messed up if they almost doubled the price of DLC's.
I know they were only a dollar or two more on PS4 when I purchased right after release than they were on steam.

Australia over here. If the prices for the DLC are the same for you now, I don't get what has happened. USD is not 1.75x that of AUD (or however it goes).

This is really strange. When I check the PS Store (UK) the pricing is only a little higher than it is on Steam. Which is to be expected for a console. Certainly nowhere near double the price though and it is the same pricing I have always seen.
Even more odd when you look at the picture someone else posted which is more in line with what i'm seeing.

What region are you in? US prices are $7.99 for Myers, Freddy, Pig, and Clown. Leatherface and Headcase are $3.99.

The prices in OP are not accurate for PS4 NA DLC. I show most DLC to be $7.99, leatherface is $4.99, and head case is $3.99.
Steam will always be cheaper than console because PC has piracy to contend with, something not as easy to do on consoles. That's nothing new.

That's the page when youre on the dashboard and go under add-ons. Not sure why it's that much but maybe that's why it's different. It's really stupid how digital games in general on console is so expensive compared to physical even though you get less and all the costs of printing a disc, case and all that are gone.0

I have 70 dollars in this game.
21 for the game, then like 39 for DLC stuff and now 10 for cells
That's like 70 total for 1 year of tremendous fun and entertainment. I'm satisfied.
The game is now FREE for PS4 users. FREE.
You get basically 1/2 the DLC for free. Stop crying.

I’m in the Australia (Oceania) Region, but I really don’t think the difference between USD and AUD is so drastic that I still pay nearly 2x that of the DLC prices on Steam, each only being singular dollars cheaper than the DLCs on the PS4 US store.

$7.95 USD is $10.75 AUD. (Comparing US PS store to AUS PS store)
Steam is cheaper probably because Sony license is expensive. Consoles have historically had $10 license per copy that doesn't exist for PC.
You are paying almost exactly 1 USD more for content, not double.
The $1 surcharge is probably because thay have to flip all the art upside down for Australia. /s0 -

Dead By Daylight is not a free to play game on PSN. It only happens to be a PS+ game for August, that those with a PS+ membership can get for free. If you don't have a membership, you pay for the game.
