you can honestly say that the last patch improved the game and made it more fun?
matches last few minutes it is a gen making simulator in red ranks.
I'm not a killer main complaining, I play both sides and since this patch the game lost so much of his appeal.
Imo you will need a massive rethink now that the ruin nerf exposed how unbalanced was the game without it. I've heard talks about fixing toolboxes...the issue is not in the items. Even games without toolboxes last few minutes now,not even the time to get into it and feel some sort of emotion. Not to.mention the massive increase of moris and slugging and tunneling...how could it be otherwise? killers are now pushed to eliminate a player early in the game or there is no way to stop gen rushing.

You still buff it in a way. Do you even play your own game? You guys said that the game goes to fast but yet you nerf ruin. Just because of bunch of rank 20 crybabies don't want to learn how to hit a simple skill check. . But no matter what, people will always find a way to abuse things. But keep doing what you do. You guys are doing a pretty good job so far.

I try to be as unbiased towards each side as possible but Mori’s nowadays are used much less than the amount insta-heals were used when they were around. But I think the Ebony just needs to be nerfed to only 2 people instead of 4

DS got BUFFED from its pervious version
Balance got changed because they could not be BOTHERED to fix the maps
On the topic of maps, they are moving at a snails pace and the lerys update has proven that they will not make them better for killers. They may get rid of the god window loop that is on most maps, but will replace it with 12 fully safe and lengthy pallets/ jungle gyms that lead into each other instead.

The emblem got changed in the same patch as ruin did. You don't necessarily have to have 5 gens undone to get iridescent anymore.

In the high ranks, ruin usually lasts for the first 30 seconds of the match and that's it what are you talking about? Lmfao

I play both survivor and killer, My killer rank is 4 survivor is 5 (highest 3).
personally speaking, i think ruin should have been changed. But!, there should've been other changes as well to slow down the game or speed up the killer's chase. There is a reason why ruin was 80% used.
Last patch dev simply changed ruin causing a lot of problem. If they gave us other ways such as way to do good chase or good ways to block gen, now there are none. especially for weak killers, idk what to say for them they just sucks so much. survivors can literally just run straight use couple pallets loop couple times to hold killer 1 to 2 min easily. Killers have to make decision not to chase which leads wasting a time, or chase which also waste a time.
Holding a min when four of survivors are alive leads to two to three gens pop. if survivors are bit good at looping, boom 4 gens pop. and game simply ends. As a killer, I just have to hope that survivor make mistakes when lot of chasing happen. All those safe pallets, infinite possible loop, plus those huge ass map just kills the killer. Tbh, now dbd killer is not a killer anymore, its just more of how 4 survivors can bully killer.

Lmfao also, what Peanits was basically saying is that overall survivors and killers have been nerfed nearly the same amount of times regardless of which one of them has been getting nerfed the most lately. There will be times where killers will get nerfed and there will be times where survivors will get nerfed, period

I think the reason why is subconsciously the devs think of the Survivors as victims and the good guys and the killers are the evil guys. So psychologically they want the good guys to win.

If the devs made this change DS would become useless.
1) killer instadowns the unhooker with Make Your Choice, Hillbilly, Bubba, Myers, Oni or because it's one of those guys that unhook while injured etc and tunnels the unhooked survivor right off the hook.
2) killer hooks the unhooker first disabling DS.
3) DS player got tunneled off the hook and hooked despite running DS.

This thread isn't about decisive strike, it's about the stance and perception of the Devs by the playerbase.
I'm not gonna give you my reasoning behind disagreeing with you because it's obvious if you look at everyone else's views. What I will say is that how can you think the killer being able to dribble a Survivor is a Survivor buff to ds? Dribbling was a way to get around ds, and now you have to leave them on the floor do do whatever.

Double pallets are largely gone, yes. I'll try to keep this short:
- The game has rules when generating a map.
- Certain tiles are marked as "maze tiles". These can be a jungle gym, an LT wall, etc.
- The game then spawns pallets around the map a certain distance apart. It does this until it reaches a number between the minimum and maximum number of pallets.
- If there are no more valid spots (far enough away from other pallets), it'll plop them down wherever it can. This will happen most often if you get a bunch of LT walls.
- If this happens, this means you have the absolute minimum number of pallets.
But it's nothing like it used to be back in the day, where some procedural tiles had two guaranteed pallets.

You have a point but I dont get your point with Doctor? Doctor is waaay stronger then before and his shocks are even better to use on loops now. Even shock range addons got buffed. Idk what you want else for him, exposed status effect after a shock or what?

Have you ever discussed that without those short gen times you could buff survivors and give them tools to "outplay" the killer without destroying the whole game, because even a tiny mistake(or good play of a survivor) currently can mean a 4 man escape? if gens wouldnt pop so fast you could get more meaning to sabotage again, since a failed hook wouldnt be an insta loss, you can make escaping chases more likely, since it wouldnt mean game over right asap, etc?
i saw you commenting in another thread a few days ago, that it wouldnt be fun for survivors(though i pla as much survivor as i play killer..) to hold m1 on a gen. that may be true, but currently there isnt much you could do beside doing a gen, since everything else i ineffective, and it had to be this way or it would be impossible for killers to kill something.
just think about the possibility of longer games... you could buff survivors so that they can work against the killer, since a dead mate will much more crucial than an unfinished gen finally. holding m1 for longer will open the room to get much more of the exciting stuff.
actually it is just boring, because you hold it down for 3-4 minutes, run through the door and have to wait for the next 3-4 minutes of holding m1, or you are the one with the quick action, are not the best looper and got killed in a min so that m1 is still the biggest part of your gameplay...
in my opinion gen times are the biggest issue of the game, and an average lasting ruin was the only way to produce exciting games if there were good survivors for the challenge...

Deliverance straight up doesn't work sometimes despite fulfilling the condition to use it.
100 different ways to get dedi-hit.
Dead harding and getting exhausted and downed (I know it's not the optimal way to use it, but there's a literal challenge in the tome to dodge a hit with DH so I assume that should work flawlessly and currently does not)
Protection hits not counting as protection hits
Sometimes lag won't even let you struggle and just insta-kill you

I've played them all (minus Xbox) and they control the same with a controller. They have already implemented new controller support for Steam. Keyboard/Mouse wouldn't have a huge advantage as this is not a shooter. Killers can turn around faster, but that's about it. I bet you would never even notice.

For killer, it is a shooter. I play keyboard on PC and I hate shooters with gamepads. I just heard that 360s are more efficient against pad killers. Can't confirm thou :)
For me it definitely makes a difference in precision if I play with keyboard or pad. Survivors might have easier 360s with gamepad, but I bet when I play survivor with gamepad, I would run around like drunk when I try to look behind me while in a chase.

The camera is slower for sure with a gamepad, but only takes getting used to. Playing killer can not be compared to a shooter by any means. 360s are not easier to do on a controller. It's nearly identical. I go back and forth from Steam and PS4 and notice absolutely no diff.

Safe pallets shouldn’t be thing, so yes. A survivor should have to think before he or she drops the pallet, kind of like how most them are set up on Hawkins. Safe loops provide no chance for the killer to outplay the survivor.

I'm just saying it wouldn't be that much of a difference compared to a shooter game where a mouse would be far superior over a controller. In DBD the only diff is killers can turn around faster/ survivors can move camera faster. Just my opinion, I could be wrong. Regardless, I think they should add crossplay to help que times and so we can play with friends that don't have it on PC or whatever. That is all. :P

Unsafe pallets provide no chance for the survivor to outplay the killer, that's why they're called unsafe pallets, they're pallets where survivors can easily get caught. You're clearly a killer main so I'm not gonna waste my time arguing with you, however I can assure you safe pallets will always exist as long as we have killers like the Trapper, the Hag or Freddy (killers that can easily shut down even safe loops) and killers like Demogorgon, Spirit, Pig or Ghostface (killers that can easily mindgame and outplay survivors even on safe loops).
