Really painful difference between killer and survivor experience
Survivor, you dont like the way the game is going?
Run up to the killer, get hooked, make yourself die, next game.
Killer, you dont like the way the game is going?
Tough, you are in this till the end, no matter what, you are going to suffer through it.

Yes survivors screwing over their team is part of the normal gameplay experience.

Or how about, if you don't like the way the game is going - play the game to your best of your ability. People leaving the game (on both sides) because they are losing is not the smartest thing, losing is part of the game and it's how you learn!

There appear to be a lot of people commenting about their physiological responses to this game when they play. I'm becoming quite concerned for the overall health of this player base.

Who says in this hypothetical scenario they werent playing to the best of their ability but the circumstances dont allow for a enjoyable or fair experience.
Why would you stay when you see all your teammates being tunneled to death, why would you actually reward that behavior by allowing the killer even more bloodpoints?
Best you can do there is punish it by just dying asap so they can only hook you one time. (or just go around the map doing nothing but that is also not allowed)
And that last sentence is just baffeling, dont leave because you lose, losing is part of the game and how you learn....
Sooo I have the choice to not leave after I lose? what? or you mean dont leave EARLY because you lose, just lose a bit more and learn from that... and what would one learn from the first hypothetical scenario, that a tunneling killer exist so bring the meta from now on? is that what the devs want from the survivors, to reduce the many perks down to a handful?

DBD is pretty softcore compared to other horror games, i dont think its about that.

Maybe people on this forum are speaking in hyperbole for melodramatic effect, but it's not uncommon to see people write:
"I'm "furious / disgusted / depressed" with ( x ) change ... "
"The difference between this game play and other game plays is "frightening / nauseating / infuriating"
Just keep an eye out for those kinds of descriptions and you'll see what I'm talking about.

This game works like something of an addiction, it's kind of by design. It's not surprising that it has that affect on those who play it the most, it's like you know you probably should leave it alone after a while but something compels you to come back to it.

I do enjoy my competitive games for that high, but honestly fighting games and other competitive games are about as high for me. The thing this game does for me no other game can is it's concept. This type of game concept doesn't come out too often
