How about disabling huntress when the killer ping is insane?
Seriously, dodged 5 hatchets with massive distance and still got hit.
Dedicated huntress is already strong as she is, but high ping dedicated huntress is a whole new can of worms that absolutely needs fixing.
Fix the netcode bois, stop making new skins for a week and just fix it. Games with 10x the amount of players can prevent dedicated hits with worse servers. At this point, either nerf huntress hatchet range till there is a hotfix or block huntress on high ping players.

Uh, maybe you don't realise this, but ranged hits are all server-side. Which means that the killer having high ping makes her unplayable. Even a moderate amount, say 80 ping, is borderline horrible. Hatchets regularly pass through survivors hitboxes. As in, right through the damn chest.
Same with Plague, same with Deathslinger. High ping = robbed hits. The higher the ping, the more hits that get robbed. If a survivor has higher ping, they are practically immortal. It's the one time VPNing survivors are a real problem.
I agree that Huntress needs fixing. Plague needs it more, but Huntress definitely gets robbed way too much. At least her hatchets are big enough that sometimes the hit registers on the back end of the hitbox as the rest is phasing through the survivors little pill.

Might be a bit of a controversial opinion, but I think the killer should be straight up kicked out of the lobby if their ping goes above a certain amount no matter what killer they've picked. It would easily fix the whole VPN killer issue.

How about we let players play who they want to play and instead let Survivors see the Killer's ping pre-game, so they can dodge the lobby if it's too crazy for them.

I don't that that's so controversial. It seems pretty reasonable to me, honestly. Granted, it would have to be high enough such that someone who is playing normally with a good connection without a server nearby doesn't have any issue playing, but I don't see anything wrong with a high limit (say, 250ms). It is an online game, after all. While I do empathize with people who are having connection issues, it is on you to get that fixed, not everyone else's responsibility to deal with it for you. Those are real people you're playing with, not bots.
Although that's just one way to deal with it. There are other ways to handle it, such as by taking away hit authority and instead handling it on the server. That way if you have a terrible connection, you're the one that feels it, not the other people with good connections.

I'm liking what you're saying, I just hope those ideas actually get implemented.

Taking away the hit authority part sounds good..

Indeed :D

And practically have some people never being able to enter a game because their ping is higher than 50, even though games up to 100 ping are just fine as they are? No thanks, I rather have 1 specific killer being temporarily locked than having to wait 1 hour in matchmaking because people dont like the 60 ping that I currently have due to folding covid proteins and uploading data to research centers in the background(and I am certain I am not the only one doing that), which practically has no effect on the connection and gameplay, but connection elitists will try to dodge regardless. Let alone that you'd have to apply that same rule to survivors too and killers who see 50+ ping will dodge aswell.

True, while I am not certain how to relay survivor ping back to the killer, but survivor pings during that game were anywhere between 140-220, making regular chases still managable, but any projectile calculation was(quite obviously, hence the post) done with killer priority. If it were just me, then obviously I got connected to the wrong server, but everyone except the killer had issues, as if it was way back during the Beta when hillbillies could down a survivor even though the survivor was nowhere near the killer.
It's honestly too bad that there are only 3 projectile based killers, otherwise it would be nice to display ping and if it were a projectile killer or not. With the obvious problem with the ping being people dodging anything thats higher than 50, even though, in my experience, projectile based killers dont really start getting dedicated hits untill 100+ ping.

I have a better solution, remove dedicated servers and remove Behaviour

I usually start with more than 250 Ms when I connect to the server (sometimes 1500 lol) but after a second or two into the game I have normal ping. Wouldn't it be a bit unfair for people like me?

It used to be this way (sans showing Killer ping, but that was because Killer's were the host), and people didn't dodge that much then. If we re-implemented it, I don't think that suddenly thousands more people would constantly dodge now.
As for queues, I'm not sure you've looked at it, but how much of your time is spent searching for a lobby vs. waiting for someone to join your lobby? I find that there's usually a Survivor in a lobby within 10 seconds of someone leaving, but I'm in NA. Maybe it's different elsewhere.
In any case, I think this is a much better solution than saying someone can't play a specific Killer because they or someone else in their lobby has a bad connection.

Yes definitely because its annoying when theres a vpn doc where im half way across the map and somehow i still get hit because apparently kill authority?

Then is it something you are considering or maybe already kind of trying to implement into the game or any measures to stop players with really High ping?

Mind if I ask why you haven't changed the hit registration than? Judging from your reply it has been something you have thought of more then once.
Also at one point it might actually help several members of the community if you made a post regarding thw cosmetics/art team are not the same as the devs who focus on bugs which need fixing. It's getting a little old to listen to people who don't know the difference. It's like listening to a guy complain about a major movie and how it sucks while blaming a person who did the makeup.

Id be more than happy if killers get booted off lobbies with a high enough ping... I believe tho, that making hits server sided will destroy killer gameplay, making most of them borderline unplayable. I really hope something like this is never implemented.
