It’s time to quit playing Dead By Daylight.
Most of us who play this game play as survivors most of the time. We enjoy this game when it’s fair and we don’t have to play against impossible to beat killers. In my opinion, I think these people who are impossible to beat killers have become this way because A) First and foremost they don’t do anything with their life, other than play this game every waking moment of their day. And B)The devs are doing things with this game which make them virtually unstoppable (if not completely unstoppable.)
Just watch each game you are playing and notice how many times killers kill every survivor in the game. You will notice that in the VAST MAJORITY of these games, the killers win outright and not even one survivor escapes. And on top of that, the devs have now made it to where we as survivors cannot even see the auras of other hooked survivors???!!!
Guys, it’s time for us to quit. If DBD is gonna do this and make it so unbelievably unfair for the majority of us trying to playing this game then it’s time to walk away and do something else. If DBD wants us back then it’s gonna have to be on THEM to make some real changes to balance the game to bring us back.

Why are you speaking for everybody else? I am currently still enjoying both survivor and killer, so I’ll continue to play. Nobody is forcing you to stick around either.

What rank survivor are you playing as? I do think the game is in a good state right now bar the few bugs that recently popped out.

Then Leave. But realize that there are people who are having fun on both sides regardless and they can make there own choices. You don't get to decide for all of us what we should do.

Its because their forums are incredibly killer sided and this has been known for years and reading them day in, day out I think its affected the judgement of the balance team.
Obviously some complaints are valid but there’s definitely a push towards easier victories with less skill on the killer side.

😕 there certainly have been a lot of days recently when for the entire multi hour session at the end of each trial where it says "Did you have fun?" it was 1 out of 5 rating 😐

I mean, I'm fine with everyone boycotting the game, but that's because I'm colorblind, can't see auras now, and BHVR doesn't give a damn.

I understand your frustration, players are toxic then on top of that, BHVR are ruining the game patch by patch but, as a survivor main and occasionally killer, i personally feel like survivors have it way easier. If you have perks likr ds, unbreakable, spine chill etc, you can escape a killer easily especially if you know how to loop. And yes the new auras are trash and if your colourblind then rip but i can still see them a bit, they arent completely gone and i am getting used to it(but hopefully they will listen and fix it). But take away the complaints, it can be a fun game which is why i continue to play it.

Everyone who's played this game long enough knows that at low ranks the game feels super killer sided, and at high ranks it feels super survivor sided. That's a balance and progression issue, sure, but you have to play both sides to get the full picture.
I felt like killers were super OP when I first started playing, and then after unlocking almost every survivor teachable I switched to killer and unlocked all of their teachables. Now survivor is super easy for me and killer is a stress fest lol

Edit : tl;Dr, the game is fun so I don't wanna leave!
But I just started. I've got like 80 hours in. :( I had my first toxic comment last night. "GG ez scrub" as killer. So then I mori'ed every group after that. (To be fair, I said, and I quote, "gen rushers! Fun!") But I don't care ultimately if they gen rush, that's the point of the game. All other stuff for survivors is just extra cake (healing, etc).
I try to be split fairly evenly between survivors and killer. What I personally have noticed (and I'm new so it might be a bad observation overall) is that people know the game enough, if a group wants to gen rush, the killer is going to have a hard time. If a killer is not good (as I was being lazy that first game) then they're going to get stomped and there's very little you can do about it.
If a killer is determined though, the survivors are going to have a damn hard time, esp if he's good. I'm a terrible Freddy (main) and with overcharge I can eff with the survivors and that's what I end up doing. Fave part is when I'm down to 3 gens patrolling and they slip up. It's so fun.
Anyway, I don't wanna quit yet. I'm having fun playing both sides, watching people like Puppers and tru3talent (sorry can't remember where the number goes in talent! I apologize!) Is what made me want to jump into this game. Fun times y'all.
(Also can we get an unranked queue? If I'm having a bad night as a survivor, I don't want to mess up someone else's rank).
(Edit 2 - why am I being matched with like, level 6s and 4s when I'm 15? Is that typical?)

I play both killer and survivor and i have to say it is very killer sided. yes when the game first came out it was survivor sided like crazy. Now though the reason killers are getting 4ks most games is because rare add ons are not rare anymore. Killers are packed with them and can use them almost every game. The way the game is headed it does make me not want to play because its not fun games im playing its games where the killer only plays to get the 4k.... not to have fun with chasing or finding survivors its just to hurry up camp or tunnel as fast as they can to get the 4k and move onto the next match then do the same thing over again. So no it is not fun for me to play. I will play maybe 3 matches where I am camped on the first hook and killed and to me that isnt a fun game. I dont care about being rank 1 ive been rank one and playing at that rank is just boring. So I will put the game on hold til my rank gets back to the rank where the killers actually play to have fun like I do as a killer.

It's not that killers are getting better or bhvr is giving them advantages, it's that you survivors are complete ######### and extremely dumb and bad. Instead of crouching and walking for 10 min every game start actually running and getting into chases with the killer and you'll soon learn that killers can be easily ran for 3 gens and escapes are more common then losses.

I love how the ones that are in support of this give really good feedback, while the ones that are not are mostly posting pictures of clowns and saying things like "git gud" or "stop crying". I'm more to believe the former than the latter, because the latter isn't saying anything of substance. How about stating why you disagree, instead of childish posts?

Survivor side has Always been super super easy and you always had advantages against killer (you still have). Now they're finally trying to nerf survivors instead of destroying killer side and you all start crying because now you actually have to be a bit good, instead of being constatly carried by decisive, infinite loops, mountains of pallets and all the meta perks.

I kept stats for 222 games i played as solo survivor, including numbers of kills (and for later games numbers of gens done)
The average number of kills were 2,26, average number of gens were about 3,8.
My survival rate was about 75%, and then rank reset happend (i had started the games in red ranks), and it plummed to 62%. Until rank reset, 4k games happend just as often as 0k matches, so no, i didnt notice it was the vast majority of games.
But just take a look at the numbers in my thread, and think about keeping stats for yourself for some time. It really puts things into perspective.

The fact is that maybe this guy is even serious. Maybe just a random survivor that after playing for 100 hours complains about killers being op. And maybe that's why this game is still in this completely unbalanced state

Thank God, one less entitled baby to have to deal with. I have been playing dbd for 3 years and this is the most balanced the game has ever been. The devs are doing a wonderful job. (Don't worry the auras will be fixed soon)

Mr. Hulan, I just wanted to let you know that the devs DO care. They've gotten the feedback for colorblind issues with the new auras, and are working on a fix. The reason they don't immediately switch back is due to bug issues with the old aura system. It was certainly a huge oversight on their part, but they're working!

I'm well aware. But that doesn't really excuse the lack of QA, the lack of accessibility options, and the general lack of consideration.
It took them days to even acknowledge it, and when they did, all they can say is "we're working on it". I suppose that's better than "they're working as intended" but it's not much consolation.
I'm sure they are working. But when will they clean up the mess they've made? In a week? In a month? Who knows.
All I know is I can't play the game until they do.
