My tips for getting Dwightcrow
I spent a lot of today watching different Fog Whisperers trying to get a Dwightcrow code and finally got one! Here are my tips for getting one for yourself:
- Work your way down the Fog Whisper list to find a smaller streamer that has less competition. I know you might love Otz, but his chat is massive and the odds aren't in your favor. Link: https://deadbydaylight.com/en/news/fog-whisperers-program-2020
- Actually watch the streamer long enough to learn their methods for giving out codes. They usually only give out a couple per hour. Streamers that give out a portion of the code and give people time to type before giving the last few digits are the most fair if you're not a speed typist or are on console.
- Have your game shop open and ready to redeem the second the streamer gives out the code. Time is of the essence. Console players and PC players without duel monitors should probably be watching the stream on their phone or laptop for multitasking purposes.
- The odds will get better as the event goes on. If you think you're at a disadvantage, you might wanna check streams at odd times when less people are watching or wait until next week when the hype has died down a bit. Everyone that's dedicated enough should get the charm eventually it just sucks that the beginning of the event is so bottle-necked because everyone is rushing for it.

I've been trying to help a few people which I disagree with this codes but the rarity drives me if anyone was curious what I recommend.
I Recommend on consoles XSTARWAKE they'll be streaming on Saturday. For pc i recommend thekller

You actually made me remember something, did they release a bunch of cosmetics for free saying something like the rarity is making it cost a lot of money so people are selling these account for a lot of money.
So adding something like this is funny because it makes you realize hypocrisy yet another reason not to support this.

I did exactly this with one BIG difference - do NOT watch twitch on mobile! There is a auto delay which will put anybody watching from mobile at a significant disadvantage.
Either watching on a laptop or dual monitor would be your best bet.

It's 100% fine if you don't support the Dwightcrow promotion. It was handled badly for sure.
But this thread is for helping people that actually want the cosmetic

Honestly? ######### having to do any of that. This whole Dwightcrow thing is just evidence of the devs going back on their word to end exclusives. The charm is a symbol of betrayal.

Good post, I got mine yesterday from stream daddy, honestly not happy with this part of the event either.
They've given out so many codes it's not going to be rare by the end, it's obviously a scheme to drive their viewer counts up on twitch to generate more people playing the game.

My boyfriend and I got the Dwight crow almost immediately when he did it on his dual screen PC, while watching Cahlaflour on twitch. We had the stream on one screen, and the shop open and ready to redeem on the other. When she posted the full codes I read the code out to him (he is a VERY slow typer, not speedy in any way) we got it, back to back on my account then his right after.
EXTRA TIPS TO CONSIDER:
Stream Delay- Use the fastest PC connection you have. I tried on my laptop for a while and didn't realize I had a 3-4 second stream delay until BF pulled it on his desktop! That's a LOT of time lost.
Have help- when we both were trying solo to get codes by reading them and typing, we weren't fast enough (I consider myself a fast typer). Me reading the code out to BF saved a LOT of time without us realizing it.

Stream Delay is a very good point...as a heads up, mobile is usually a lot slower regardless of internet connection also so is the Twitch App on PC's/Mobile. Also some Fog Whisperers are trying their best to make some of the codes more console friendly by having part of the code with the LB (and equivalent) keys coded...I know Geef was doing that earlier today.

i still don't understand why they would implement another exclusive after giving all the others away and only limiting the codes to 10 per use i would have made it so that after the first time the code is used it disables after a couple minutes that way everyone who actually watched the streams will get one and console players would have enough time to get one as well

I personally think it is better to make a separate topic stating that opinion, since it is not constructive to OP's post of trying to offer assistance to those who wants it, but that's just me.

I got it on console too from the streamer Graenz.
He is streaming on twitch right now and doesnt even have that many viewers. A friend of mine even got a code after i sent him a screenshot from a code from the stream. ;)

Correct but its as said previously, is still relevant to the conversation I do think as the idea correlates.
lets assume I let you keep that point, I still think constantly mentioning me is more damaging to the overall conversation as I only posted one comment and haven't gone looking back at this thread. However with you guys constantly mentioning me I have had to constantly reply and this is just fueling more off topic debate .
Id argue that you guys mentioning me is more damaging to the conversation, not to mention people liked my comment more then the post so clearly I made a relevant point.
