though i'm happy others are getting this, this makes me feel like a tool because I actually went and watched a fog whisperer to get the code and got it and it wasn't hard. people are being lazy and don't want to do something to get it. IF YOU ALREADY GOT THE CAKE FROM A FOGWHISPERER IT IS THE SAME THING FOR THIS CODE YOU WILL NOT GET ANYTHING!
sigh why is it that people are not trying to actually do something and enjoy the small bit of legwork needed. hell I got mine entered while I was playing FF14 as well

Personally, I don't have the time to watch streamers drop codes which can only be redeemed 10 times. I was lucky enough to get the fruitcake charm by watching back a 3 day old VOD on Twitch.

well i guess you can't multitask! that's what I did... was watching That Violin Chick, while playing Final Fantasy 14 and had DBD up in the background and I got my code entered. wasn't hard and though I wasn't just watching her I had her up and could listen to what she was saying so I knew when to get to the dbd store and start typing it. Glad you got it but if you don't put forth the effort well in this case you're rewarded by this company. and those that put forth the effort gets to feel like it wasn't worth it now that there is a code for the same thing that they actually took the time to do. It's not even something NEW so they can have that and something else but it's what this company wants to do I can't stop them... I still haven't bought the most recent expansion/dlc maybe i won't still.

but you had the time to go back to a 3 day old vod, watch it for the code. when you can have the streamer up and have what ever else you're doing up at the same time and when the code is given then you go to dbd and enter it JUST like you did with the VOD.

Its funny because multitasking has been scientifically proven to be less efficient as doing one job well before moving on to the next one yet people still scream praises about multitasking, being horribly misinformed about it being a 'good' thing.

lol i'm being toxic? for saying that it is sickening to see everyone demanding something for nothing? would you go to work for no money and nothing in return? YES it's great they put this code out there, NO I am not happy because I did what they wanted. least they could have done is made it different than the other ones so that I could get something for nothing. how about that? you want something for nothing, I want something for nothing but I had to do some leg work to get mine, and it wasn't hard but I did it. why is it that when someone disagrees with you, you call them toxic for being upset about something yet when you're upset about having to do something to get it you're not toxic. this is what I find so very funny here, because i'm the one that wants something for something I did and you decry me for saying it's sickening how many people in the world want something for nothing. yea... You really need to get off your high horse and stop being so entitled. So what, you watched some streamers to get your code, you even said it yourself that it is not hard and you can do it while playing other games. What makes it any less different than someone browsing the forums and getting the code that way? There really isn't any difference other than you leaving a steam up for several hours.

As a fun thing here no, I actually can't multitask, and haven't been able to since I was a child. I don't mind putting in the effort because I hot the Dwightcrow but I physically couldn't do anything around the time the streamer I was watching (BoxGhost) would distribute the codes. And whilst it was worth it, in my eyes, for the Dwightcrow because it looked nice, I couldn't bring myself to do it again for a charm that looked worse.
If it was just people playing dbd on Twitch I could get behind it more. There are some streamers I've grown really attached to and I'm close friends with, so don't mind spending hours watching. Needing to find a stranger with a massive audience (specially when seeing a large amount of people in a chat sets my brain off in all the wrong directions) was not it chief.
Be happy other people could get things for free because you never know someone's circumstance. Maybe they're grieving, maybe they have schoolwork due soon, maybe they're moving, or have existing conditions making multitasking impossible, or maybe they're working 2 jobs trying to make ends meet during a global pandemic.
It's not that they don't want to put in the effort, it's that the effort is being expended in other ways. For some people that effort is just finding the will tog et out of bed and continue on another day. Calling people lazy because their priorities aren't the same as yours isn't it, chief.

Because many of us play on console and it’s extremely difficult (borderline impossible) to receive and scroll through and enter in a 20+ character alpha-numeric code (only good for the first 20 players who successfully submit it) simultaneously with hundreds of players also watching the stream on PC who keypad it in mere seconds.
Majority of console players have wasted hours trying do what PC players can achieve instantaneously.

they were putting up console ONLY codes as well as PC AND Console codes. so the PC people had to compete with the console and other pc users, where consoles got codes that were ONLY for them so I guess you can't put out the effort to do so and people got them before you. Personally I think that they should have made this charm something other than the damn fruitcake or the dwight crow. why? because even console users were given SPECIAL things for the codes given to the fog whisperers and the pc people didn't grumble what so ever, we welcomed the console only codes!

I lucked out and got the charm at the start from a smaller streamer. I'm glad they put out this code so everyone could get it. The forcing people to watch streamers for an exclusive item and race to put in a ridiculously long code that only a few could get at a time is just a terrible practice that I really hope they stop doing.
If they want to get people to watch streamers they should instead give the streamers time based codes for BP or Shards - something if people watch and get cool but if they miss out it's fine. Most streamers have a set schedule so just have the codes active for the time of their stream, or since it would just be BP or Shards have codes active for 24 hour period.
