Xbox early update issues
Has anyone else who plays Xbox run into an error issue where the game refuses to load a lobby due to mismatch or time restrain or even the fact that it won't let you ready up? Because I have, and it sucks

Apparently they have the 4.5.2 update before everyone else. I think it accidentally went live. I don't have it on Series X

Yeah cuz I just played a game and there was no update ate dinner came back and it's saying patch required now I got to wait who knows how long for a 5.46 GB update

Probably messed up the release time, updates are always submitted a couple of days before the intended release date for certification.

Xbox 1 player here. I have the update and it does say it is 4.5.2 but I'm not sure if anything has changed, as there were no patch notes in the latest news. Now that I have the update, the game is also not allowing me to get into any games either, giving me an error saying that 'matchmaking process failed' for the reason 'timeoutCreated'.

Dead By Daylight just updated and it didnt give me any patch notes to read. I am very confused. Anybody know what it updated?

Yes! The new patch prevents anyone from joining games. Those patch guys really know what they are doing. I love staring at the lobby screen camp fire! How did they know??!

What platform are you on? PS4 is still on 4.5.1 and has nothing to install when I check for the latest version.

Switch player: no update available, even after closing all and restarting completely. Boy, this has been a fun two weeks 🙃

You could try turning off crossplay. Since XBOX is the only platform who has 4.5.2 at the moment, it could mess up the matchmaking with other platforms.

So just figured out that XBOX got it early. The catch is we are unable to play until tomorrow. 😑

As Killer not survivor for some reason. Try turning off Crossplay if you can't get a game. Just get an error as Survivor

It’s in the options, access it from the main screen (was greyed out from survivor screen).

I cant get inyo any kind of match with crossplay on or off. Guess ill just wait. I dont get annoyed easily with this game but this is really just a REAL big annoyance.

You should be able to play by getting matched with other players on the same version as you are playing on. I don't have more information at this time I'm afraid.

You should get the update @Chilli_man2400 if it doesn't come through, you'll probably need to fully shut down your xbox and restart.

I managed to find a survivor lobby with crossplay on. UI is indeed changed but I'm guessing the bugs aren't gone yet? Assuming so as it was a small update

The patch is not on PS4 nor PC, so the most likely cause is the update was accidentally put out. However, there is also the chance that it was intentionally put out on a single platform as a test. Either way, it shows that the update is likely right around the corner.

You'll be able to get lobbies - it'll match you with other players who are also on the same version, with crossplay enabled/disabled.

Xbox One Survivor with new update installed. Able to match up with only other xbox one players who have update installed. I didn't need to turn off cross play
The skill checks are running so much smoother now, I love it

Yes when a platform is on a different version they cannot matchmake with other platforms which are on older builds of the game. As for crossplay already being disabled and still having issues, there could be not enough players connected to your regional matchmaking queue since it won't necessarily try to connect you to a server across the world.

Ok that got a chuckle out of me
On a serious note kinda surprised that xbox got the update early hopefully it doesn't take that long for me to download like the last one did if any issues pop up for me I'll post them

I immediatly found a game breaking glitch. I got error code 8001 and it said Unable to connect to servers and kicked me to the main menu. When it said INITIALIZING it crashed. This happened 4 times in 30 min. They just got the game to not crash 24/7 it better not be back.
