Have......have you never played Pyramid head or against him before?
It negates like....a third of the meta perks in the game and is instantaneous. You bypass flashlight saves, sabo, etc....

Cage of atonement is the nerf of the DS. For hooking a person you must pick up the person which that survivor can use DS. Cage of atonement you did not pick the survivor so there is no DS. Also at some maps hook are really seperated or really far away and Cage of atonement was a solution for that as well. Beside skill checks of cage was never hard and same applies for hooks soon.

Cage of Atonement is a faster hook, while not being affected by hook/unhooking perks
You can also ignore people attempting to flashlight blind you or sabo hooks

Cage of Atonement is completely different from a simple hooking - you don't have to pick up a survivor, you don't have to walk to a hook etc
The change to the struggle mechanic is not going to negate the picking up and walking to a hook for a regular killer, it's purely going to change the way survivors struggle on the hook when in the 2nd phase.

One of my pals uses a macro for wiggling and struggle due to issues with her hands and repetitive motions - She's always paranoid about getting banned, so she's super pumped about this :3

That's great to hear that it's going to help her.
I use a mix of controller and K&M for playing DbD because of a shoulder issue (torn rotator cuff that resembles RSI in restrictions), so yeah it's going to assist me. Between this and the colour blind features I'm feeling spoiled right now.

I do as well Raccoon, so make that two haha. Myoclonus Dystonia; my hands get crampy and seize up sometimes because of the struggle, same with holding M1 on the gens too I use a windows setting for the latter and a macro for struggling.
I use autohotkey and have not been banned yet; but it will be nice to not have to use an external program anymore.

Yeah ngl bruv the cages using skill checks instead of button mash was in all likely hood just an easy way for bhvr to test if people would like it more then the current system and has nothing to do with the utility of the cages

Map control, and time saving.
No need to keep a survivor slugged. No need to waste time carrying to a hook and risking flashlights or sabotage, body blocking or breakout.
Plus it forces teammates away from key gens in order to do the save.

I can't wait for solo queue when a bunch of people who never read notes or anything anywhere just die on hook not expecting it.

They’re making it an accessibility option from what I understand. It won’t be on except for players that switch it on in settings.

Tbh, I think there should be more of a differentiation between hooks and the cage of atonement than there currently is/will be. I get that you don't have to carry Survivors and stuff and the whole "hook perks don't work on it," but eh.

Um. Well, it moves the survivor for you so you don't need to pick them up. Not to mention that it's completely impossible to escape a cage without someone freeing you. So...

Cage not only counters things like DS, but it's a time saver for Pyramid Head. In a game where the killer is always in a race against the clock, that's huger than you think
