i heard about a new rank reset system where everyone gets reset back to rank 20 is this true ?

Yes this is true.
ranks will work differently then. You will get BP rewards according to how high you got in the month.
ranks will not be used for matchmaking anymore. Instead SBM/MMR will be used, with a new hidden rank that won’t get resetted at all.

Its true but they said that like 6 month ago or more so i dont know why its still not in the game. I dont think its that hard to implement at this point i think its only a question of lazynest

Not laziness. I'm sure a system that reset everybody to 20 every month would be easy. It's the matchmaking that causes the problem. If everybody just got reset to 20, you'd have "real" rank 1 SWFs stomping rank 20 killers, and "real" rank 1 killers butching rank 20 survivors left, right and centre.

i think its rewarded based on how low in rank you get for the month what the rewards are is a good question. Probably just BPs. be nice if shards were rewarded for the red ranks. or maybe a cosmetic? I dunno

I think you get the rewards for the rank you have at the end of the time frame.
(it could be that you can’t depip anymore though? So you only can hold your pip or progress. But don’t quote me on that)

Yes, they are as bad as you can see... 250k bps x2, a laughable amount that you can get in around 2 or 3 hours of casual killer gameplay with BBQ and offerings.

Maybe on 2025 they Will realease the new MM, before that, there are a lot of skins on development :)

As I am sure you are all aware, introducing a skill based matchmaking in DbD is not the easiest of things - as calculating what is skill and what the specific requirements are in an asymetrical game is very hard. We did test the MMR system a little while ago for a short time, and it wasn't where it needed to be. It's still calculating data in the background and when we have more information with regards to another test or implementation, that will be communicated.
