When will Raccoon City Police Station Come back?
waited 3 weeks to play on it for live and now have to wait an unknown amount of extra time..any news?

No news.
Patches and Hotfixes usually release on Tuesdays, so MAYBE tomorrow. But no official date given yet.

We've not given an official date as to when the map will become available as yet, we're obviously making sure that there are no further issues before it will be re-enabled.

I'm hoping tomorrow possibly because they usually release bug fixes a week after a new chapter comes out. But it could be longer.

The issues are largely on console. The PTB doesn't happen on console.

It seems like you might want to consider testing the game on console yourselves before each patch then.
Relying on the PTB might not be the best method for diagnosing issues before a release. At least based on this chapter and the twins chapter.

I heard a while ago that they do, but the dev version is a little different from the live version and something might slip.

If it was an occasional slip or a one-off it wouldnt be bad but at this point it is becoming a trend. Clearly something should change in their testing.

I agree, I usually didn't mind bugs so much but this chapter was the one I was most hyped about :/

@almo battlefield 4 had a few servers specifically set up for testing on consoles. Seems like a good idea. Players on console just download the ptb like they woukd anyother map/game

We absolutely do multiple device testing. But there's a big difference between a team of people testing internally and hundreds of thousands playing on the released version.
Please have patience with us as we get a solution for this problem. We are fully aware of the frustration it has caused, and want this fixed as much as you do. :)

Would love if more devs communicated here. i only ever see you Peanits and NotQueen here. Though I don't blame them for doing it. I know not all of them speak English, and we as a community can be pretty mean at times.

It's always frustrating for game devs when people dont realize this. 5 people pressing 100000 buttons to find any that are broken will eventually do it (and/or even forget some) but 10000 people pushing 100000 buttons will do it a lot quicker

It was a lot of fun. Not just because it was new, but because there was SO much to it. It's super complex but not so hard that it's impossible to learn. Matches took about ten minutes, I think the killer won most of the ones I was in (it's been a while). Lots going on - hallways, stairs, balconies, wide open areas, little hidey areas, some outdoor sections, etc. Such a unique map.
I just quoted you and skipped all the other comments because someone has probably already complained about the map being garbage (because it's indoors and / or survivor sided, as the old complaints go) and that the map should never be enabled again, or at best should be split into smaller maps, which quite frankly I'm tired of wasting my time disagreeing with. It's a quality map, hopefully you and everyone else waiting patiently for it will get to play it soon.

They did. All it took was a "incident" and a very influential person on Twitter who works for disabled people's rights to call them out publicly shaming the company, and bam like a month and a half later we had colour blind options. It was pretty embarrassing.

Imagine the backlash of they went through and did re-enable that map, weeks before they could for console. It would be a pr nightmare they just don't need right now, especially with consolers outnumbering PCrs now.
For like two years now they do things for all platforms all at the same time. I don't see them deviating from that.
