Should Killers receive matchmaking blocks for lobby dodging?

Matchmaking times are already terrible. Once you finally queue into a lobby with 3 other survivors the Killer joins, has some personal problem with the group (i.e. too many survivors with items, specific items, clan/group tags, SWF, etc.), and then leaves.

The only Killers I see nowadays are the meta Killers that camp, slug, tunnel, and do everything in their power to ensure survivors do not have fun (i.e. plays to sweat, not to have fun). Killers want lobbies in which they feel the least challenged unless they are playing a top-tier character.

Here's why matchmaking blocks for lobby dodging would be beneficial:

1) Speeds up matchmaking times.

2) Encourages Killers to play each match they join even if the survivors have items [better odds at escaping] (i.e. "Play to have fun").

3) Hopefully discourages the "I need 4 kills (4k) to have fun" mentality (possibly reducing the desire to camp, slug, and tunnel).

4) Hopefully increases the variety of killers.

I thought about this the other day. I had it all basically figured out but i basically forgot it all now.

But basically, I can only see dodge timers existing only in a new competitive-only mode (real ranked mode).

But even if they still brought them in a real ranked mode, they'd have to add the option to change killers in a lobby again. That's one of the main reasons why I think dodge timers are a bad idea. Other main reasons are stuff like keys n stuff, or legacy hackers.

If killers don't like the lobby but are forced to play, they'll just AFK or walk around the map half-assing it. You really want killers who walk around, watch you do gens, and then open the gates for you? I actually got those multiple times during the SBMM test. It felt really pointless.

I'd rather not punish killers for not wanting to get cucked.

No. Anyone can dodge lobbies, regardless of their role.

It's equal because survivors don't know who the killer is, and killers don't know what perks the survivors are running. And it's before the match so there's no reason to penalize anyone.

As a survivor main, I wouldn't want to get penalized because I dodged a lobby with an obvious SFW all carrying flashlights either.

Yes, Killers should receive penalties for lobby dodging.

not for their first few dodges, but there should be an upper limit where its like "ok, you're seriously cherry picking a little too much, calm the heck down and play"

Here's the issue. Killers don't dodge lobbies for easy games, they dodge lobbies to avoid toxic teams. You complain about not being able to have fun because of killers playstlyes but the game goes both ways. If survivors had the choice of dodging of toxic killers they would do it.

Killers can't have fun if they're getting T-bagged, stunned, flashlight saved and body blocked by survivors while all their hex perks were cleansed at the beginning of game. Does this sound fun? No, it doesn't.

The core issue of this is not lobby Dodging but toxicity, toxicity at both sides so no one has any fun.

If I check people's steam accounts and find a hacking bans on it, I am out regardless of what side I am playing on.

If I'd get a penalty to dodging a hacker lobbies then I just wouldn't play the game.

It's not always about challenge people have real lives you know and may have to do something else. I've seen plenty of survivors drop out of lobbies should they get a penalty too?

This poll is clearly biased no option is "Killers should be allowed to play lobbies where they feel the least challenged." cause that's always the reason right?

Here's a tip you want your poll to be taken seriously don't add biased obvious insults to killers.

Your bias with this poll is extremely obvious but I'll answer it anyways.

This would just make me want to play Killer even less. I dodge lobbies if there's a key and (If I'm playing Trapper) a map. I will otherwise stick out a lobby most of the time. Only exception is if multiple profiles have had previous bans on other games (You can see if this is the case on Steam). What exactly are you bringing that constantly makes Killers dodge the lobby? In my experience, when playing Survivor, Killers rarely dodge lobbies. When they do, it's usually because someone has a key.

"Hopefully increases the variety of killers."

Bruh if DBD said "We are taking away your choice; Survivors get what they want so suck it up or get banned." id be doing everything in my power to only play top tiers and make the game not fun for everyone.

Let everyone have a choice outside the trial but if you DC once your in one? give a punishment.

Also how you worded the No option is super scummy, touch some grass.

Maybe you should try out killer yourself...

It's a terrible idea to punish killers for leaving a lobby.

Another great example of someone who has absolutely no idea what it's like to play as a killer.

You have to look at everything from both sides, not just the survivors side because that's all you're playing.

(I play both killer and survivor.)

I can tell you that it is not very fun to play against a swf with sometimes 4 toolboxes or 2 or sometimes even 3 keys.

In my opinion you don't deserve to have a fun game if you do this.

I'm going to close this, I do suggest OP if you wish to make a poll, to not to attempt to insult players in the poll options.
