Official Deathgarden Masks Statement?
Are we supposed to have the Deathgarden masks or not?
So, back in November everyone found the Meg Deathgarden mask in their inventory. Some people received the Trapper Deathgarden mask, others didn't.
One of my accounts received Trapper's mask. The account I can actually play killer on didn't.
I opened up a bug report today and was told this: "Upon investigations- We regret to inform you that the Deathgarden's cosmetics have been removed from Steam for now. And It is required for you to have both the Deathgarden and Dead by Daylight in your Steam Library for these cosmetics to be unlocked in the future."
I can find no official statement that the masks were released to everyone on purpose. The closest I found is @MandyTalk saying we're meant to have the Deathgarden masks:
I checked today. I still have Meg's mask on PS4. I have Meg's and Trapper's masks on Switch. So, they definitely haven't been removed from console.
Does anyone have an official statement on the Deathgarden masks?

Everyone's supposed to get them. They're trying to kill exclusives. But... they're still making exclusives.
But, yes. Everyone should be getting one. If they changed something then they didn't announce it

Odd. I still have both masks and I'm on PC without owning Deathgarden.

The Meg mask was unlocked for all users - not a bug.
Can you tell me where you were told this was a bug please and that you were not supposed to receive it? @TragicSolitude

Was the Trapper Deathgarden mask supposed to be unlocked for everyone too? Like TragicSolitude I only received the Meg mask on ps4, not Trapper's.

It wasn't unlocked for everyone no, it should be done at a later date.

I opened up a report ticket about having not received the Trapper Deathgarden mask and the person who responded and closed the ticket said:
"Upon investigations- We regret to inform you that the Deathgarden's cosmetics have been removed from Steam for now. And It is required for you to have both the Deathgarden and Dead by Daylight in your Steam Library for these cosmetics to be unlocked in the future. Please take note however that we do not disclose on the timeline on when this will be fixed."
The Request ID was 927451.
I looked around to see if I could find an official statement about the masks but couldn't find anything. There's no announcement, not even a mention in the patch notes, about the Deathgarden cosmetics.
I hope Trapper's mask gets unlocked for everyone soon. I got it on Switch but not on PS4. It's sort of just disheartening to have anything killer-related locked to the Switch.

(and I can completely understand you looking for confirmation on this, it slipped through on the Patch Notes, but I can assure you that thing things I post where I don't say "my opinion" are official).

Sorry if it seemed like I was saying your reply wasn't official. That wasn't my intent. Your post saying it wasn't a bug was talking about the Meg mask, but I don't think there was ever a response about the Trapper mask, so I couldn't figure out if we were all supposed to have both masks or not. Mainly I was trying to determine if there was an announcement and I just wasn't finding it, something I could link to for proof if I needed to open another ticket. It was really weird that cosmetics were unlocked for everyone practically under a veil of silence, and it only gets weirder when support staff months later aren't even aware of it.
Good to know the Trapper masks haven't been forgotten. Thank you for your response here!

Hey @MandyTalk, after the latest patch the Death Garden cosmetics were removed. I thought this was given and not a bug?
