Can we stop insulting Patrick?
I guarantee you most of what he said was probably read off a script. I get it if you are annoyed with the state of the game, but just because a face has been put to the terrible arguments doesn't mean it's their fault, much more goes into development and to think that one person controls everything is just ridiculous. I really did not like the stream, but seeing the way people are going out of their way to insult him is just adding to the depressing state of this game and community.

It's not the first time he's done that. I think in every Q&A that he appeared, he was out of reality with how Dead by Daylight should properly run. I don't know if it's scripted or not, but last night's Stream was a nail in the coffin added to this game...

I don't typically keep up with streams, and to be honest I was just astounded watching it, but this is like insulting the guy running a company twitter account, it accomplishes literally nothing.

nah,for me its his dismissiveness that does it in for me, he is smug and arrogant and dismisses any real concerns. at least thats just how he presents it. he could be meaning a different thing entirely but his tone makes it seem a certain way to most people.

And we wonder then why they don't communicate with us... I was disappointed too by the stream but I don't think we need to insult the developpers. We don't work with them, we have no idea what's going on, the real reasons some things sound strange (like the SBMM working because killing/escaping = skills). It's frustrating for sure, but I agree with the OP.

I agree with OP. Whilst I certainly have questions about his views on skill and such, to actively insult someone for having an opinion is not constructive at all, and if anything it weakens the argument against him, because it shows those opponents as people who aren't capable of debating with reason, which harms the discussion.
I mean, if I was to discuss that a perk is OP (for example), someone who disagrees is better to argue why they feel it isn't. An invalid argument is "You would think it's OP, because you're a twat". Does nothing. Pointless verbal puke.
It is very possible to argue a point without resorting to being abusive. I still disagree with what he said, but am I wanting him to leave and going to insult him because of what he thinks? No.

While I don't condone the insults or calls to fire him, I do understand why there's hate specifically directed towards him. He has an extremely dismissive attitude towards the community and the arguments they raise. You very often get the impression he's being condescending or rolling his eyes at player concerns.
Calling names helps nobody, but at the same time, it's not exactly a case of 'don't hate the messenger.'

They'd insult anyone that was in the same position.
They just want to spew vitriol at/attempt to damage Patrick because he didn't tell them what they wanted to hear/did not provide instant gratification.

I sometimes feel like I watched a completely different Q&A than everyone else did. I don't think he was smug/arrogant/dismissive, it just feels like he was trying to explain their side of things and what them, as devs see to try to defend things. I don't agree with several things BHVR does or says with the game, but as an engineer I guess I like hearing the other viewpoints as well because I see a lot of where they are coming from.

I remember in a stream from like a year ago he brought up that there are disconnect penalties coded in for lobby dodging they could turn on if they wanted to, when Not Queen and McLean were like please repeat we aren't doing that Patrick said he liked getting the fan base worked up. He admittedly likes frustrating the player base with what he says so I really have no sympathy for him.
