Still nothing on my PS4. I really hope they will quietly patch this at least... I don't care for them to admit making a mistake here. I just want my Sadako charm.

Also even a special thanks to the people that told us how they thought they got the charm or how the charm was supposed to work! Even if it was stuff echoed in the past that evidently did nothing in the grand scheme of things! They only tried their best to help in anyway they could, see you all in the fog! or maybe even back here again soon to say that we FINALLY got the charm! 😁

I received the charm on my stadia, yesterday and also received an email saying that the charm isn’t limited.

I just checked too and nothing. But I've got two different email chains going on where they're looking into it. It seems like they had trouble finding my DLC purchased through the store, so I'm sure they're still working out why Playstation is having so much difficulty. Hopefully we hear something back soon!

5.6.2 just released about an hour ago, but it didn't fix the charm issue. Other bugfixes, one including Sadako Rising DLC achievements. Maybe a charm fix is incoming??

Just to clear up something to avoid confusion, it would be unlikely that there would be a specific hotfix needed for this, normally on these types of cases we can do them from our own systems.
And no, there was no fix for the issue included in today's hotfix.
When I have more information that I can share, I will update here to keep you all informed.

Then how come people that haven't played since December are logging in and getting it? Is it so hard to believe that this is bugged? I mean this is DBD we're talking about. I've literally tried everything on this forum and nothing has worked. I got on my brother's ps4 (he hasn't played since nemesis came out.) And when I loaded it up he got the secret video and the charm and no of course he doesn't own the ringu dlc. I've been playing nearly almost every day since then... it's bugged dude. I believe the secret video plays randomly but I also believe that it simply doesn't work for quite a bit of people. It's like the shards they gave out for Bubba, not everyone got those so they had to redo it.

agreed, like i accept the fact that it was supposed to be random.... sure. that makes sense. but it shouldnt be BAD RNG where if you didnt get it the first few times u wont get it for the rest of the month. like literally in the first week i logged in and out like 20 times a day so over 100 times total just in hope it would activate after it said initialization complete.

As I see it, BHVR intended it to be a secret easter egg but I agree that it could well be bugged. Even charms that were supposed to roll out on a simple flag like the Auric cell didn't go smoothly. I'm sure that they don't want to spoil the discovery just yet. I hope we don't miss out in the process.

As soon as I booted up the game after Tuesdays update I got the charm. Even though Mandy said a fix wasn't included in that update. Odd.

This Idea might sound really out there but what if you log into the game at or around 10 AM or PM???
If I remember the movie correctly the first girl to die by the tape watched it at 10 PM so that could be a factor too.
