Do we now officially have bots in the game?
So I played a round of Killer today. I saw a survivor with the name rebeca chambers 04 in my lobby and since I am on steam and Rebecca did not have a cross platform symbol next to her, I clicked on her to check out her profile. As you can see in the picture, I could not click on "view profile". I could only block here. I had never seen that before and since she had such a strange name I thought that this might be a bot. Does anyone know anything about that?

There is now an anonymous mode option in the game. As far as I understand, it's what would prevent you from seeing their profile.
Edit: And to be clear there are no bots in the base game, thank God.

Just answer the question politely without the snark. Some people just don't read them and they ask questions on the forums like what it's meant for?

They literally just asked what the names meant, takes just a few words to answer, nothing else involved, idk what's so hard about that without being all smart about it. Trying to teach them a lesson or something? "You better read those notes next time or else" 😱 Have to throw something else in there just to be edgy.

Imagine being tilted that someone is asking a question on the forums. Blasphemy, just don't answer it if you're gonna be rude. But yeah anonymous mode my dude. Not bots, though bots would be nice, could be a way to replace people that DC so that match doesn't get completely ruined.

Not reading them aka basically doing no effort at all and expecting that others put effort in answering questions is funny.

And yes, to answer the question, this is a player in Anonymous Mode (and yes, a player using Anonymous Mode is reportable still via the in-game report, and if submitting a ticket to support, your information and the in-game report is all the ACMs need to handle the player; and video evidence depending on infraction).
