Never seen this icon before?
Can anyone help me and tell me what the red/white Square is above the kate icon? I know how the bad ping killer icon looks like so this is something different. Thanks in advance

It means you’re suffering from high latency or something like that.

I know what the high latency icons are, this is the first time i actually see the squares. The ones from the latency look like a wifi symbol. :)

that's packet loss. Not all data is transferred; some is lost in the way. It's the other thing, aside from ping, that can make it look like movements are unsmooth, stutter-y, skillchecks seem off and hits from outer space land

Thanks peeps, so that could explain why the killer was hitting me from miles away on my screen ^^

If the symbol is like that, your ping is more than likely above 1000. It happens, killers that hit you a mile away, or survivors that run in place and then teleport across the map

you can have normal ping with that icon, because it's not showing ping but packet loss...you can have low ping but high packet loss hence the two different icons in teh game.

Yeah, I had the red packet loss icon the other day, but my ping was like 35. The two things can be mutually exclusive, though they often aren't.
