Title says it.
Getting a new pc, some recommended specs would help me out. Preferably wanna play on High Settings. Just throw some down and why you recommend it.

State your Budget, otherwise it's simple.

I'm spending under 1k on my pc, most likely around 700$ since they're going on sale.

U want to play the game in high settings? U mental lad?
Low > ultra.
Since release. Seriously.
But if u really want to run this bad optimised game on ultra with good fps u probably need 4x a Nvidia 2080 ti0 -

Anyway, got a graphics card to recommend while remaining true to your statement? If low settings is better etc, what do you recommend then?

Play the game on low settings, because the screen gets much more brigher and you can see survivors/killers. I think a gtx 1050 ti/gtx 1060 are the best cards to the price.

I would argue most modern graphic cards are fine for this game. It really depends on the budget you have for the entire system.
Well high stettings means at least a GTX 1060 or RX580 in my opinion. Both should be doable on an under 1k$ PC. But if you can get a good deal for a 1070, RX590 or Vega 56, you should go for it, if possible.
Also the system should have a decend CPU, a modern Ryzen 5 (1st or 2nd Gen) or a modern i5 (7th gen or upwards) processor, is what I would recommend to have a decend system for other titles as well.0 -
GTX 1060 has the best bang for your buck

With GPU's I'd suggest 1070 or higher, the 1070 is a fantastic card and will still let you play most games at ultra settings, whilst it is impossible to future proof a PC, at least with this card you will know that you're ok for a couple of years at least. Prices will hopefully drop within the next couple of months on GPU's.
What CPU are you planning on getting?

Thanks for the recommendation, but PC's with 1070 or higher are over 1 grand (1000-3000$) I'm not able to afford that. Any other suggestions?
It's whatever comes with, I'm not building this PC, it's coming from retail.

Don’t build a computer just for Dead by Daylight. Build a computer to last you for several years and many games.
Tbh I would buy at least a 1070. I know in the previous post you said it’s too expensive. You should save and wait. No need to rush a PC for this game.0 -

It's not just for this game. The PC I'm currently using is my roommates - just one reason to get a nice PC for myself.
I have a lot more instore for this PC than just this game.
With that being said, DBD is one of my favourite games, so I'd like to ensure my pc will be able to run it since the Unreal update.

Then either go for a 1060 or RX580. But it might be worth to wait or you try to look for an online retailer who allows you to configure your own pc, which they build together for you. With one of those it might be possible to go for a 1070 build under 1000$. Otherwise maybe even wait and see how the market will look like in a few months.

I'm using a GTX 1060 to play DbD, and it works great from low to ultra settings. Then again I max cap my frames to either 50 or 60. For other games, my pc does struggle with Rust & a little with Hunt: Showdown even on low settings. My guess is that I need more RAM as I currently have 8gb.
