Forum stats (favorite survivor)
Im a stats nerd I collect a lot of in game personal data which I hope to start sharing at some point but as I crunched some numbers on @JollyStrangler favorite survivor question (currently pinned) I thought might be fun to share as not everyone will read every reply.
Note to Jolly Strangler I'm only posting this as a separate post so it doesn't hijack your question & take it off topic hope you don't mind mods free to close if desired!
SO STATS!!!
At the time of writing Jolly's post had 84 comments 6 (7.14%) didn’t name a survivor(s) these were obviously discounted. Most named multiple survivors in which case all were counted.
In total 137 were named
There are currently 49 survivors in dbd (if we include legendary character variation skins which I am as some were named!)
Of those 49 survivors 40 were named! (81.63%) 9 were not (18.36%)
Girls were named 76 times - 55.47%
Guys - 60 times - 43.76%
Jeryel 1 time (wouldn't want to be presumtious on gender) - 0.73%

6 votes - Cheryl, Kate, Yui, Claudette, feng, Mikaela - 4.38%

3 votes - jake, ripley, tapp, Quentin, nea - 2.19%
2 votes - Zarina, steve, johan, leon, jane - 1.46%
1 vote - jeryl, sheva, laurie, ada, bill, james, yochi Vittorio, nancy, carlos, Gabriel - 0.73%
0 no love votes - Adam, elodie, haddie, Thalita, Alessa Gillespie, Cybil Bennett, Lisa Garland, maria, chris. Worth noting 5 of those 9 (55.55%) are skins!
Of course its worth noting the response sample was small even by forum standards
Stats (when done right) don't lie! But they also only give you a picture of the data your willing or able to use. It doesn't mean Feng isn't the most popular survivor (Skiming other data I have I don’t believe she actually is but still)
Regardless thank you to everyone who named Meg! As a Meg main i'm glad she came top along with Jeff! Whom I hope perhaps I'll see in the fog now!
Open to doing more stats either from in game or across the forum should anyone have any requests (no promises otherwise I'm sure some requests would be nuts!)
But like I said i'm a stats guy & I don't mind doing some research here & there & some number crunching as & when I have the time.
While this is long it is supposed to just be fun so hopefully some of you found something interesting in there & @JollyStrangler I hope its a map question next time!
& of course i'd encourage anyone who wants to share their personal favourite survivor to head on over to jolly's post & drop a comment.

I noticed that Jeff got mentioned quite often in the thread - sad that this isn’t reflected in-game at all but yeah it’s just a very small sample size..
though I am surprised that Adam didn’t get mentioned at all? He and Jeff seem to be mentioned together often as rarely seen. I still think Adam has some of the best and highest quality of cosmetics in the game and would have probably be my third pick

& good to see a few more answers added to Jolly's post.
I too was surprised Adam didn't get a single mention & even more surprised Thalita didn't even get 1! Elodie too to a lesser extent haddie not so much!
But look at all those Jeff's lets see some in the fog!!
